you might be able to mount a small esc but it requires a micro servo like the hitec hs-81mg.

you could get the special radio/speedo combo for the kyosho bike or...............
i've got a standard 27MHz acoms reciever and a novak explorer 2 in mine, which means unlimited motor choise!!!
to fit them in they are both removed from the cases and the reciever is underneath the rear portion near the exausts and the speedo is next to the motor ( you can put them both next to the motor but as theres no where to put a proper arial the range is short). if you have spare radio lying around try using that and DO NOT run it any where water!!!

HOR's and hop-ups are available through http://www.2wheelhobbies.com/ (much better price than Tower)

A standard reciever will work. You will need a extremely small speed control. I managed to stuff a mamba comp X in mine. You will need a smaller servo though. They do take smaller bettery packs. But they are not that much $.

Hi, You can run a small Futaba pcm rx, and any small servo, I have a Mamba brushlesss set up in mine, crazy, dont run the standard servo rx servo set up, its so slow, if you run a brushed motor the grupner 300 motor and your own esc will be an 100% improvement over standard.

Actually it's the static rider and not the hanging on rider.

Go for the leaning rider, its a much better bike, and you can get parts and up grades for it, even make it brushless, its a great little bike.
