Fuel price? Powermast YS 20/20 (Full Version)

I went to the LHS to get some Powermaster YS 20/20 blend for my Saito .82. They used to carry it at about 18 bucks a gallon. He told me 30 and change per gallon. He ordered me 2 gallons. I seen Hobby People sells 6 gallon cases and then charges 30 bucks shipping, bringing the total to 180.00 or 30 bucks a gallon. LHS must be charging me the hazzardous shipping charges I guess. Anywhere to get this fuel cheaper or an alternative brand?

Several hobby shops in my area sell them for $20 a gallon.

You live in Ill. Aren't you close to Mecca with TOWER and HORIZON? Little drive and stock up. WE have club members that pool up once a year and drive to Wildcat in KY. To stock up and split expenses. They talk about their trip every year. (male bonding)

They won't let you pick up there. Been in the vicintiy before and called them. Chief looks like a good deal.

Your telling me a place like Tower Hobby won't let you pick up and will ship only. I can understand Great Planes or Horizon being wholesale only, But not Tower.........

UPS charges $5 per gallon extra over their regular shipping charge. That is what is runnig up the cost. Does your store sell something else that is just as good. Most fuel companies have 4-stroke blends. Try something else. Dennis

There are advantages to living in the heart of Texas with Powermaster right down the road. All the local hobby shops can get it without paying all that shipping, which helps in the fuel prices to say the least. I think 20/20 is going for about $17 and change around here.
