I read on one of the threads that your company offers bulk pricing for orders of 50 or more cells. Is this truely an option for ordering your cells? The price that they said was quoted was I believe $11 or so per cell. If a person ordered 1000 or more they said that it was $10 per cell.
Thanks for your response,
Darrell Button

Why would a company which has a MAP policy in effect for all of it's dealers post wholesale / discount prices on the World Wide Web?

Perhaps if I order 100,000 I can get them for like $4 each. Then I can sale them for $6 ea .
What do you think?

I'm just trying to get a response from the manufacturer about something that I read in another thread from a reliable source. I'm looking for an honest answer, and possibly a better deal on a larger quantity of an excellent product. I read where the guys were looking at this option in Europe as a way to trim their costs on these cells, and was hoping it would be available in the US as well.

I understand and I also have heard of $10 per cell pricing in large quanities however a public forum is IMO not the best place to pose such questions.

An email to A123 or A123 Racing would seem to be a better approach.

I know for a fact that one vendor was selling them for approx. $14 and they were forced to change their pricing.

If it is a reliable source, why did you have to ask the question again?????

Just curious.

I was just trying to open a dialog, and hopefully share some information. I was also looking for someone else who had heard the same information that I had, and that could confirm it. I'm sorry if it was inappropriate for me to do so here. If I have offended anyone here at RCUniverse I'm sorry.

There is nothing wrong with asking whatever you like on a forum, as long as it is not illegal or against the site's polciy. You do not nee to appologise to anyone, anyways, I have the info you seek. I will send you a PM shortly...

Hello All,

Yes there is “bulk” pricing, but not in the way you are talking about. We offer Dealer pricing to reputable dealers that are interested in carrying our product. Perhaps some of the dealers that have received this information have passed it on, however this pricing is only applicable to Hobby Dealers that we choose to work with.

Brian
