it has the new g3.0 in it

A 3.0 is and 18. 3.0cc or .18 cubic inch.

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 4:07 AM)

[:D] thanks... i knew 3 was the metric displacement but didn't know .18 is in cubic inches hehe

Friday31661 -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 4:20 AM)

How does this thing grip on a paved road. Does it spin out of can i get traction.

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 4:22 AM)

on paved road it grips awesome.... but it will do a burnout if you give it full throttle and turn it [sm=stupid.gif]

Lt. 725 -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 4:57 AM)

Pics...sorry for the bedspread, but I am traveling now and in a hotel.

Forgot to mention in my last post that I did add a front bumper (modified an Associated one) because I have a tendency to bump into things![:D]

Lt. 725 -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 5:05 AM)

I have been on pavement, gravel, and dirt and the thing grips pretty dang good on all of them. Obviously it grips better on pavement, but you have to expect that. And the thing jumps great. I was able to clear a 25 foot tabletop on the local BMX track. Keep the RPM's up because the front has a tendency to dive.

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 5:21 AM)

hehe yeah you could probably do a front flip [X(] but i have yet to jump mine. It has been nasty weather for a while [8|]

YES!!! I LOVE THEM! [:D] they are perfect for most terrains

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 9:44 AM)

here is a question....why is the tubing so long to depressurize the gas tank? why is the tube so short for the fuel intake? shouldn't that be switched?

ThunderbirdJunkie -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 9:55 AM)

the fuel tubing is to pressurize the fuel tank, not to DEpressurize the tank. it's long to keep the engine from running erratically.

it's a nice lookin truck, i still may have to snag one for a basher ST

MiamizFinest -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 10:01 AM)

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 10:05 AM)

just to get technical hehe how does it pressurize the tank!? [sm=confused.gif] by the exhaust buildup in the muffler trying to get out of a small hole? yes i think i just answered my question... haha epiphany

MiamizFinest -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 10:14 AM)

Just in case it was not clear the line from the tuned pipe to the tank is to pressurize the tank! [X(]

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 7:37 PM)

standupclothing -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 8:35 PM)

i love how the mt2, gt2, and jato posts have like a billion times more posts than the firestorm one heh [8|]

Lt. 725 -> RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=- (1/18/2007 8:39 PM)

Standup:

Here is a link to an online conversion chart that will allow you to convert cubic centimeters to cubic inches and vice-versa. Kinda handy to have when looking at engine sizes since some companies use one measurement and other companies use the another.
