Guys, this is a great thread. Very quiet lately. I am almost sold on the JetMach.

Shok, any chances you can ship to Brazil?

Ronnie,

I just sent you another PM. I don't know if it went right... let me know if you don't receive it.

Thanks

Hermann

Hi Ronnie,

It was a replica to your PM's, but I'll ask here anyway, open up the answers. I am copying a question that was asked in the past, but didn't see the answer to it:

Being new to Turbines / (Please excuses an ignorance)
After visiting the Jetcat site, various pricing etc, I cant help wonder why you would buy a P60 or 70 when you can get the P80 at 22lbs for a bit less.

At 4.4 inches, it is alittle wider, but almost same weight as P70, would the Jetmach not be able to accommodate the larger engine?
Yes I understand this model on requires 12-14 lbs, I'm just thinking of having a more "flexible" engine for a future airframe. I could limit the thrust via the ECU.

Is this a good or a bad idea? Would the residual thrust from the P80 make it float for ever? Would it make the CG setup too hard? What's the downside of the P80?

I test flew the 104" big brother last weekend.  This thing is like it is on rails and a floater without flaps on final.

Sorry just static pics so far on the ground at a airport carshow.  It looks small till you realize the triplane in the background is 1/4 scale.

Weather is not forecast to be favorable for flying this weekend.  On the second flight I lost flap and ail function just after rotation.  managed to save it, with rudder only.  I removed the wing and checked the Y's for the servos all were connected.  Removed the RX and wiggled everything still nothing.  Removed the Y and plugged in the elevator servos and all worked on the flap and ail channels.  I drove the servos for ten minutes with the Hitec programmer, no glitches.  I ohm'd out the Y's and both had a resistance of 21 ohms on a lead.  One was on the red lead and the other was the signal.  Sent them back to the vendor and they tested them out at .2 ohms which is the normal for Fluke.  I am not yet ready to name the vendor yet, but would like some input from the group on this glitch  I think they may have an assembly issue that manifests it self under load.  Hitec says my ail servos should pull 1.5 amps each and flap about 2 amp each at stall current.  A wire may ohm out okay, but I have seen in full scale aircraft wires ohm out okay but fail under load and is detectable only by measuring the voltage at the device.  It is a shame that there is not a more affordable buss setup available.

Roy.
