Any plans for a MW44 sized version at or around 750 squares? Would go like H*** with 10 pounds thrust.

Test flight ready, full smoke system and bomb releases, 17lbs dry.

Will either test fly in the morning or new years day.

Then we will put the camo paint scheme on it.

Ronnie,

Looking good…. Can’t wait to hear about the maiden on the two piece wing design. Any other mods on this build beside the wing?

Steven

Steven, mods to this version are the two piece wing, mounting plates in the wing for the drop tanks inboard of the servo mounts, a fuse mount for the bomb drop, a 1" extension to the rudder to enhance the knife edge capability and the smoke tank and pump located below the main equipment tray.
The two piece wing has the shear webs all the way to the root rib with the inner bay shear web made of 1/8 lite ply, a 1/4-20 bolt holds the wing together and the bolt location is reinforced with lite ply for the t-nut and bolt.

well we test flew today.
Wind was direct in our face at 20mph and was feezing!!

Plane flew perfect though, only kept it in flight for 5 minutes because the cold wind was painful. 0 aileron trim and 3 clicks up eleavator was all it needed.

Will post some pics today in a bit

I am posting a few more pictures of mine. The overall construction is almost done . I am now sanding, rounding and preparing the surfaces for the iron on film. This week i will start covering mine. The pics below show the flap/aileron construction. I also made a wood box to cover the main aluminum landing gear. This will ad a better looking to the fuselage. I also made a ply reinforcement for the rudder/elevator servos. Note the nose being formed. So it is a pleasure to build this plane.
