Hi Stern,

Great job, I am looking to buy a KT after I get done with Christmas.

I noticed you bought a Metal gun barrel does the KT come with plastic barrel or just a cheaper grade of metal.

Thanks

Dave

Hallo Dave,

thanks !

The Tiger II comes with a metal barrel, but the Tamiya size is not scale - so I bought this special Tiger II barrel.

Greetings

Stern, they were called "debris covers", they weren't on all KT's (I think they were made in the field). I'm still looking for some pics. I've enclosed a line drawing. I'm not sure if anyone makes them or not.

I see for the suspension you went with the Modified Torsion Bars. I went with the WECOHE suspension kit. To be honest I wish I would have went the route you have taken. The WECOHE kit is nice but takes plenty of time to install and adjust and is expensive. It actually took me a whole day to adjust it the first time and in the end I was not happy as once I added the gear boxes the chassis had a nose down attitude. I had to go back and readjust which took another 6 hours or so. I must admitt that once the WECOHE suspension is set up it works nice. My chassis looks good running over some obstacles and ther suspension handles everything just great. I just hope I never have to adjust it again. If so a set of the modified torsion bars may end up in my KT as well.

Hallo Wayne,

I know the wecohe version just from the look ... but what I saw was not scale - it was too soft, but maybe this were wrong adjusted versions . My aim was to avoid the Tamiya fault - too short torsion bars - so the modified version is a very nice solution

In front you see the two Tamiya and all the rest are modified torsion bars (they do fill all the place out):

Here we have parts of the "Modified Axels" and the "improved track adjuster system":

The improved track adjuster system without special screws ( I will put them later on):

Greetings

Very nice Stern. I have a King Tiger on order and was wondering if the upgraded wheel bushings are worth it. I am considering buying them. I also want to buy the driveshaft support. Is the POM better than the brass one?
