Hallo,

after waiting for nearly 3 month for my Tiger II - he has arrived !

I will build the Tiger II of Karl Bromann of the schwere SS - Panzerabteilung 503 (Koenigstigerabteilung des III. germanischen SS-Panzerkorps).
The sSSPzAbt. 503 had started fighting on the east front with their Tiger II in January 1945 till the Endkampf in Berlin in 1945.
The Tiger II will get a camouflage the unit used 1945 in Ostpreussen (there are interesting questions about this, but I will come to that point later).

The first parts to make the Tiger II more scale have also arrived ...

A sclae Barrel, a scale resin bezel and the adapter for the Barrel:

Side fender mounts, photoetched grids, armor guard for the engine exhaust with number, detail Set 1 from Axel, close defense weapon, spare track holders turret and movable rear hatch

modified axles (rear), improved track adjuster system, modified bushings, drivingshaft support bearing,

Hope the next parts will come in a few days - for some I have to wait again till they are produced - I will write the report of the particular part step by step while building ...

So far ...

Greetings

Ja Stern, Bitte ein sehr umfangreiches bericht. Bin sehr gespannt ueber deine rauch system. Did you get the plastic or metal driveshaft supports, which is supposedly better?

Hallo,

thanks for your encouragement !

Dave, I talked with Axel about and took the POM (plastic) driveshaft supports - I can not compare them myself, but Axel said, that the POM version is better ... so I took it ... hope that he is right

Greetings

Very cool Stern. I have ordered a Tamiya King Tiger also. I am now going through Tigers in Combat 1 & 2 to see which tank I will model.

Hallo Schutzstaffel,

opening is not the problem - the Tamiya rear hatch is not scale, so I ordered this one ...

Greetings

That's gonna be one heavy metal tank! It's going to awesome!!

I have a KT kit waiting for a Porsche conversion to build sometime next year. Saving up my pennies to get some metal updates for it!!

Great project Stern! Looks gilded to the teeth.

Should make a fine running machine.
Oh, and remember to get some sleep, those Kittys can keep you up for nights!
