Default ROBBE CONCORDE

I saw this and just about messed my pants! http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk...xd.asp?id=1598
Anybody trt one of these yet. I imagine it would be quite easy to add edf's to it, though it wouldn't look scale. But who cares, it's the freakin concorde and it would be fun to zip around with ducted fans whining.

Probably could be done with a pair of 2" Wemotec Microfans and something like a Himax or Castle Mamba 2015-5400 and a 3 cell 3000 Lipo or better. This would give you about 30 oz of thrust on a model weight about 40-some ounces.

I have a Robbe Concorde that I fly stock on the Speed 400 pushers.....it REALLY flies nicely. Very aerobatic.

The best control setup is to ignore the stock setup and put one mini servo in each wing and convert the model to full span elevons. Move the battery as needed to make balance.

I think Dymond R/c in San Diego had some Robbe Concordes when I was there in Janurary.

The Sonic Liner is still widely available in Europe...Multiplex USA has just stopped importing it.....a real shame. Love that thing!

I bet you could get a SL from a German mail order place for about $110 plus shipping to the US.

I own and regularely fly both models:

Hmm, Thomas - now you have me thinking maybe the idea isn't dead after all!

Funny thing is, I've given these as Christmas/Birthday presents several times, just never wanted one for myself until a month ago. Any link to a German mail order place?

LOL - I downloaded your FedEx SL photo and showed it to some of the FedEx maintenence folks (their DC-10/MD-11 maintenance yard is right next to my office at LAX), they got a kick out of it

Glad they liked it. Fedex should sponsor me...

You might try Hoellein in Germany...they have shipped to me several times.

Click the link below and then click on "Highlight" in the left hand menu. The SL is currrently on sale there for 79 euros.

http://www.hoellein.com/websites_neu/home/home.html

Shipping might be a little steep.

i actually want to buy one of these Concords..is it a Glider type plane or a plane with landing Skids.
What's the actual Wing span. Is there anywhere in the US selling these? and is it RTF?

Are you still looking for one? I live near Milwaukee, WI and buy my stuff at Greenfield News & Hobby. I was there a couple of days ago and saw that they had one. Google them for the phone. I have one and the Sonic Cruiser. Here is a video of it last summer. What a nice flying airplane. My Concorde is done in the same colors.

the concorde looks nice but i cant help thinking you would gain more from building a bigger one from scratch. I think 4 GWS EDF30 would work

Concorde is one aircraft to do as a model for sure specially for extreme scale buff/modeler, i'm presently working on design of 1:14th scale EDF Concorde model but would love to get one that Robbie offers also. I have been looking for Robbie's Concorde for sometime now, any idea where i can pick one up RTF in kit form for easy shipping here in N America!....
