I will have them in, in a couple of days. I will post my opinion once they are received.

It official…this is one of my new favorite Helis’. This thing is tiny and a little unstable at first, but after setting the trims and insuring everything is balanced, it flies well.

If you are used to flying stable helis’, like Trex or one of the bigger Walkera’s, it will take some getting used to.

As a RTF Micro Heli, it delivers as promised.

I’ll see if I can get a video going on youtube. The one on there now does it no justice.

I would appreciate some advice on setting up the heli (64C) for first hover flights. What should the settings(throttle, Pit etc) be ? What should the GYRO (WK-G008) settings be ?

Regards,

Joe

please do search on rcgroups for "Wlakera" exactly as typed (misspelled). there is a thread about it which is relatively alive :)

I just got a 64c last month, after setup it flies really nice. I like it alot. There are very very few parts available in the US. I order from a guy in Australia he ges it to me in 4 days in NW united states.

It is a really cool helicopter, but you must be very patient with it.

Nice to know model flies OK. I am setting up the 64C for its maiden flight - can you advise on the settings you used (Pit,throttle, gyro,.....). Instruction booklet has me a bit confused re these basic settings and also re the setup gyro settings.

First thing is unplug your motor, and turn on your TX.

Ok assuming the helicopter swashplate and head linkages are setup correctly, and your transmitter is zeroed out, your should have 0-2% positive pitch at 50% throttle ideally depending on your flying style.

to adjust pitch turn on the #10 DIP on the back of the TX. this unlocks v1 and v2 and allows you to influence your collective pitch. v2 is your overall collective pitch adjustment. if you turn this to the right + the overall up and down range of motion becomes greater, which will make your model more agressive. decreasing tv2 shortens the amount the collective pitch travels and makes the copter more docile. v1 is the throttle curve and in my opinion is tricky tricky. If it is at zero, the throttle will respond proportianally and equally with your throttle inputs on the tx. if you go into the - the model will have its blades pitched earlier when you throttle up. If it is into the + it will gain more headspeed before the blades get pitched.

I never mess with the gyro. set the rudder extent to what it needs to be and turn the sensitivity to about 75%. Do nothing thru the Tx.
