Hey Guys. One more question. Im trying to figure out whether lipo is worth it and still wondering why the car keeps stopping with the new lipo. Is the BB motor worth it? Will my lhs have it? Is there maintenance for the BB motor? How will the BB motor affect the performance of the car and will it fix my sudden stopping problem?

lipo is worth is because it increases speed and runtimes by a lot...
i have the bb motor and i didnt notice much difference untill i got lipo...
the bb motor and lipo vs the stock motor and lipo is big because i honestly think that the bb motor can handle higher amounts of battery power thus making it be able to go faser..
i have had the bb motor and the only thing i have had to do i resolder the wires on it because i was fixing my car and i hit the wire to hard and it came off..
but other than that the bbmotor is techinically a stock motor..
it might fix your problem..

and most lhs's wouldnt carry it..

+1 to maxxin

the BB motor is a little smoother than the stocker and that means less resistance on the motor so faster acceleration and top speed along with longer motor life....

it saves excess power that the motor doesnt take and saves it for later..
then it bursts and puts the power to the motor at one time like a turbo to make you go faster..

I am getting all the bits and pieces to go LiPo on a Micro DT. If it will fit, I'm going to put in a Novak Low Voltage Cut-off (LVC). I have found a spot that looks like it will fit however, the connections have me stumped.

There is one 5-pin connection coming out of the ESC/receiver; is that a combination speed/direction connection? If so I'll have to cut wires and splice in. Not sure I like that

Has anyone done this before?

Regards

once again guys my micro t with the lipo and the original battery is stopping all the time and now i turn it on and sometimes when i pull the throttle nothing happens. Every once in a while it does but shuts off in like 1 second. However i just noticed that i picked it up and if i just barely squeeze the throttle the wheels will just keep going and not die, but at about half throttle or so it just shuts off. Where do you think the issue is. My micro t is only about 2 weeks old. Ive probably only ran it about 10 times or so on each battery.

when the wheels stop can you keep steering?? if you can steer then its your motor... most likely your brushes are getting hung up... send the motor back to horizon hobbies and they will send you a new one for free...

mad maxx... did you go brushless??

not yet but i have had 2 BL XXX-T's and with the stock motors it would do the same thing the brushes would get stuck on a part of the can and you would have to go over and give it a nudge then i was like wow and got mad. went to the LHS and they were like umm.... you will NEVER have this problem with a brushless system.... and brushless motor pretty much last forever.
