RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys. I FOUND a year old work paycheck! I'm going to overhaul my Micro T. I'm getting the 10250 brushless and receiver/servo kit tomorrow. I have a question about the graphite chassis though. Will it allow for a bigger battery without modification? I cut my stock chassis to fit a 250mah lipo, but don't want to chop up a brand new graphite chassis. Any other mods suggestions? I'm getting oil shocks and street tires too I think. I really want that chassis though.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The check cashed. I ended up buying the Xcelorin 10250 brushless combo, receiver with servo combo, Micro DT chassis, Micro DT stock wheels/tires, Street Meat tires, blue painted Micro DT body, and the 2S 300mah Losi lipo battery/charger. I already have the threaded wheel shafts and wheel bearings. I can't wait for everything to come in the mail this week. I may also buy the aluminum trans case if my gears strip out really quick. I have some Associated diff grease that I use with 1/10 scale diffs. Should I use that in the Micro, and how much?

People have used the 3s lipo on the xcelorin,,, It's tough to find vids of it though. I'm sure someone can post a vid.
I just got a rhino 610mah pack from hobby city. I taped it to the top and I got great performance. I am about to fit in into the chassis just like the AAA batteries fit if you've seen that mod. I'll post pics when I finish it. BTW I have regular sized deans plugs on there for easy charging.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need some helps guys. I am in the middle of a graphite chassis conversion with alot of other parts as well and I am having some problems. The aluminum arms only come with 4 hinge pins. two are for the shocks and two are for the C hubs. So, I am guessing I am supposed to use the stock U shaped hinge pin for the arms. But what is supposed to keep it in place? There doesn't seem to be anything to hold it in place. What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

The front bumper should hold it on.
Here are some pics of my battery mod. The battery is a 610mah 20c rhino pack. There is a HUGE gain in performance.. I can easily do wheelies with the stock motor. The motor gets to about 170* tops and the battery stays ice cold. I can't measure any speed control increase in temp either... All that and I get at least 30 minutes of runtime from the factory charge. I'll probably get about an hour when I charge it fully myself.
The battery doesn't have an internal cutoff, so I use an external battery monitor. When the lights change to red that means the cells have dropped to 3.3v. It works great.

Metallover: Can you post more pics, especially from the side and without the battery mounted? You seem to have the best solution for a bigger battery. Also, do you have a link to the AAA mod? Thanks.

I can't find the aaa battery mod thread... I'm sure someone else knows. It's kind of like mine only better because they left some plastic at the bottom so the chassis didn't flex...
EDIT: Oh wow. I really need to clan that up... Looks like crap.[:'(]

It's not completely done yet... I am having problems with the part of the battery panel coming out on the side opposite where it's screwed in. I will try to fix this with a small peice of plastic glued to the flap and I'll screw it in to one or more of the three screws on the bottom. It'll make sense when I do it...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have some running info about my micro t with the 610mah lipo. I get at least an hour of runtime. Basically until I want to stop. The motor gets extremely hot. It is consistantly 170f and I got a peak of 194f.[X(] It is pretty dang fast though and I really like it. If this motor burns out I'll probably go for a bb2 motor.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hit a curb today and broke a rear hub. It wasn't a big deal because I keep extras, but my dogbone was long gone. I think I may buy a pack of regular dogbones tomorrow to get me by, but I assume switching to CVDs would be a wise choice. I heard the Integy ones are too short and also suck. I found the Hot Racing ones for a good price. What set do you guys recommend?

Woohoo. I'm getting back into RC and just picked up a used Micro Baja with 2 200mah lipos, bearings, threaded axles, some spares, antenna tube mod, street meat tires, and RTR for only 65 shipped. Pretty stoked on that lol. So anything new about these little guys. I used to have one and back then bearings and threaded axles were probably the only needed upgrades. Same with using zipties for steering links. Anything new that came out for these guys? Any new mods?

You should do the antenna mod. Open up to the board and put a peice of cat 5 cable on the screw on the bottom right that has a copper coating by it. I can send you some cable if you need it...
