I'm no expert , but it should be a great trainer, worth the
$188. It is larger than I expected, seeing i've been away
from the hobby for 22 years or so. Life, wife and work kept
me away lol. I checked all screws, linkage etc, then applied
thread lock where applicable. Also re arranged all the servo wires
into some what of an orderly setup. Then re secured everything
with foam and velcro. I enjoyed every minute of it lol. As for you
needing a sock, I just steal one of the wifes all white cotton socks.

Grass runway easier on tail draggers. The li-mn have
me thinking, their safer than lipo's and don't require
    balancing.

If those sub-c tenergy cells are anything like the AA cells they sell, you will be lucky to get 2000mah out of that pack. There is a reason their cells are way cheaper than anybody else.

If they don't I'll send them back they have a 6mo warranty. The one report I have is that they tested out with a full charged. I post a report when I get a chance to fly, that may be spring...

I"ve had my electristar since July 07 and have enjoyed it very much. It was a great way to learn to fly with the buddy box system. I also have a super cub which I fly between charges and when I have limited time
or am just feeling too lazy to pack everything else. The cub is much slower, can be flown in a much smaller area and is very tough. I bought a new fuse for the electristar when I had a really hard landing which took out the firewall
and messed up the nose, but I was able to repair it while I was waiting for delivery on the new fuse. Now, I"m not sure if I will transfer the electrics to the new fuse, or sell it and use the motor etc in a new plane.
This brings me to my question. What is a good 2nd plane ( low wing ) that will match up with the electristar electrics ?
