Pve been reading this thread and there's a ton of helpful info. Thanks guys. I guess I'm the newest member of the Electristar family.

I just ordered mine from Tower. It was on sale for 199 - 25 online coupon + 8.99 shipping = $183. This is such a real steal. THe LHS has it for $349 and I almost bought it last week. Good thing I changed my mind.

I've been on the simulator for 3 months now and I think I'm ready for the real thing.

I just put mine together yesterday , she looks great and i agree for 183 bucks it is hard to beat. I didn't get the set screw for my prop shaft.

I called them and they are mailing one monday. I am going out this morning and see if i can find one at the hardware store any way.

even thought the weather sucks i wanted to taxi around the driveway.

we need to keep this thread alive it is a good source of info.

Just the radio that comes with the Eletristar is $140.00 so $175.00 ($199.00 - $25.00) for the whole thing is a very good price. It flys nicely on skis and I'm going to try floats this summer. I was looking at the Super Cub but for a few dollars more I went with the Electristar.

I'm not sure what simulator you have but I found that if you turn on gusty wind conditionds it will help your flying skills greatly. Real Flight has the wind set to 0mph as a default and it is very seldom you have no wind in real life.

I replaced my prop adapter with this one. I hate dealing with all of those small grub screws. Especially after you use Loctite on them.

If your batteries are new they may have to be charged a few times before they deliver the amperage required to go full throttle.

I just got a set of Great Planes 8.4V 3600mah NiMH batteries and they don't fit in the battery brackets. Do I need to remove the brackets or can I place the batteries on top of each other in the center of the battery cave or will this mess up the CG?
