What is an appropriate or best charger for the Electristar? I will probably go with the lipo batteries for longer flight times I purchased the following from my local hobby shop for about $89 since I have some light planes that use nicads. I bought the Vision Peak Ultra AC/DC Charger 1-3 Cell LiPo 1-8 cell NiMh Dynamite DYN4053 AC/DC Peak Detection Charger, adjustable charge rates and works equally well with Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li-Po packs. With a multi-function LCD and an LED charge indicator to monitor your battery, it's a simple and safe way to recharge your cells. It also offers input and output circuit protection, automatic trickle charge, ventilated case, cooling fan, and 5-year warranty. Voltage: NiCD & NiMH: 1.2-9.6v, LiPo: 3.7 - 11.1v Number of cells: NiCD & NiMH: 1-8, LiPo: 1-3 Charge rate: NiCD & NiMH: .1-5 amps LiPo: .1-2.5 amps Input Connector(s): AC plug, DC alligator clips Charge Connector(s): Tamiya, Universal Rx Dimensions: 7 x 4.75 x 2.75 inches In Stock I see where it will charge 2-cell lipos which is what the electristar requires, though I am guessing I can only charge one at a time. I am guessing the lipo pack will peak charge in 15 to 20 minutes? I also gather I should order the balancer? Should I use the balancer after I go home to recharge? Or each time when I peak recharge at the field? Also where can I buy the futaba trainer cord if no one in my club has one? Hopefully I won't have to buy a second transmitter for the instructor pilot? I think there is already one trainer cord setup for an Electristar in the club.
