ORIGINAL: pcoronaf jtspin, Fist of all, the main blades are spinig clockwise (to the right) viewed from the top. At least the blades are spinning the right direction. quote:
when i move the throttle stick up, the swash plate goes down, so the blades instead of gaining angle looses it. i done this using the throttle stick and with the PIT knob, +(more) pitch swash plate goes down(get -- angle), -(less) pitch swash plate goes up(get / angle). These two sentences contradict each other. When the swash plate moves down, the blades should gain pitch (\ angle). Are you saying that with the throttle all the way up you only get a flat pitch (-- angle)? It sounds like you either need to adjust the lengths of the linkages or adjust the knobs. Since it sounds like the knobs are affecting the pitch, I guess you've switched DIP switch 8 on the back of the Tx to UNLOCKED. Try this - with the Tx on and the switch in the N position (and the motors disconnected) put the knobs both in the center (12 o'clock). Move the throttle stick to its center position (halfway up). The blades should be pretty flat (-- angle). If they aren't, try adjusting the PIT knob until they are. While you're doing this, look at the head of the helicopter so you can see the interaction between the swash moving up and down, the movement of the head, and the pitch of the blades. The blue metal T-shaped holder shouldn't move at all (if it does, that's a problem). Above the blue metal part is a black plastic "flybar connector holder". That piece slides up and down on two pins. When it's touching the blue metal piece, you've reached maximum positive pitch on the blades. Adjust the PLT knob so that when the throttle stick is all the way up, the flybar connector holder just touches the blue T-shaped holder. Now look at the pitch of the blades with the throttle stick all the way up and the flybar connector holder just touching the T-shaped holder. If it's still flat and not like this \ you'll need to start adjusting the lengths of the various links. Let's start here and see how it goes. If it's still not giving positive pitch, we'll start messing with the lengths of the links. By the way, with both Tx sticks centered, the swash plate should be pretty level front to back and side to side. If it's way off, some of the links will have to be adjusted. Hope this helps! -JT
