Hi, I have an eagle 50 and the controller or receiver will not make the servos work for collective pitch when throtle is up. Would my receiver be shot or controller? If so,what would be a good 6ch receiver and radio with built in gyro for the eagle 50? should I spend 55.00 for a new receiver from xheli.com or buy a new package?? thanks ,,, Rich

Do you mean that the servos move with cyclic inputs but not if you just increase throttle? That would be odd indeed. Do you have DIP switch 8 set to UNLOCKED on the back of the Tx? You should see the pitch of the main blades change as you turn the PIT/PLT knobs if that switch is set to UNLOCKED.

Hi

In tracking the blades where you need to adjust the pitch control links (short and/or long) I can see this changing the pitch, does this raise and lower the blade? The manual says so but does it really work and do I need to do other adjustments also e.g. servo arm and connecter?

Hello Everyone ive been flying my eagle 50 for about a month and it is fairley easy fly.
but my only complant is on my first crash i had to replace most of the of the rotor.
so i went ahead and replaced it with all aluminum parts.much better i think..

hey guys. i fly the eagle 50 as well. i've had a hell of a time learning to fly it. i even had a friend who is a very good 3d pilot fly it for me and he said if i can fly that i can fly anything. i'm putting a trex 450 setup together but can't give up on my eagle. i've put on the metal head upgrade. carbon blades painted the canopy and only have a couple of decent hovers on it. i took it out one day and it would only get about 1 foot off the ground and was bouncing up and down. i noticed on inspection the middle cell on my battery pack has swelled up. i've ordered another battery and charger and i'm hoping this gets me back in the air. i feel like if i can master this bird i can fly the trex with ease when my DX7 radio system comes in. just wondering about some of you new guys that started on the eagle 50, how long and how much $ , before you could fly the bird decent.
