Pilot must be slumped over in there. Where'd he go?
No pilot in an airborn shot is a definite no-no.
Your "do I dare?" lead-in tells me you somehow knew that.

The problem with Cubs is that they are sooooooooooooooo common that it takes either a really amazing model or a really amazing photograph to impress a jaded crowd like us. I think there was a Cub competing at TopGun recently and it was almost a bolt for bolt miniature replica. a truly amazing model but in ordinary photos it didn't look much different than any ARF Cub.

As for pilot-less aircraft, there are stories from WWI of pilots seeing "ghost aircraft" either an aircraft somehow cruising along on its own or seeing an aircraft "piloted" by a clearly dead pilot somehow stable and slowly flying off into the horizon.

Pilots add that extra level of detail.

The best part, they never complain and are always ready to fly.

This pilot was seen at Florida Jets in March of 08.

I call her "Pistol Packin Mama".

Nice shot Carl. Like the fact that the pilot's head and shoulders are away from the seat as was the natural position. Too many stiff pilots in alot of models with their heads plastered against the headrest.

SDCrashmaster, thanks for the compliment. This is a new build and the first flight. Pilot is an Officer and Gentlemen or me depending on how you look at it. All control horns are inside and all the hinges are scale. Fortunately he is flying low in the south where its hot and the cowl flaps need to be open

I think the Carl's Wildcat also has the prop in the right size( scale ). Which makes this one of the best R/C inflight shots ever.

It is on the first page here.

Mind you, she looks a lot more scale than some real women!

As we may suspect, flying jets with their high g-forces and lightning quick speed can take a lot out of you.

Another female pilot at Florida Jets looks like she has had a full flight schedule.

That’s a mighty big zipper there, honey.

Can you imagine the amount of time it took to create that outfit? Like you said, except for the zipper it is great!
