Hi Jugman,

Yep, I'd love to see some more details of that plane. They're a great warbird - shame they get overlooked by most manufacturers.

Thanks,

Cam

Uncljoe, thanks for the shots of my Grumman Wildcat. It's a F4F-3 in pre war neutrality patrol colors.

Maybe he's just checking the tires....or got airsick! Actually it's sort of refreshing to see a pilot figure is something other than the standard straight ahead pose.

He is very happy to amuse . I found him hiding way down in the bottom of the cockpit. I guess he did not like the slow roll.

Thanks for the pics.

Carl,
Are you using those "pocket" type hidden linkages? Looks great!

BobH he is checking for divets cause there ain't any of the other things ! May be he is just scared of my landings.

Paul, I used the plans hinges. Jerry Bates drew out scale hinges for ply or G-10. The thickness of the aileron with the hinge on the bottom makes for easily hiding the horn inside. I dropped a rod into the fuse for the pull pull rudder so its hidden also. Thanks for the compliment Paul. Denny and Jeff have builds on rcscalebuilder that show lots of detail. They have very nice Wildcats.

I have some IRF type hinges but have not found a good use for them yet. I don't think they will work well with a recessed hinge line.

Joe, once again nice shots of my Cat. I think the Saito 450 was the quietest liquid fueled motor at WOD.

Here's one taken recently at Albuquerque's ARCC Scale Meet on 6-28-8. It's Pat Tritle's electric Curtiss Jenny... literally on a dawn patrol before the rest of the flyers got started.
