I don't know if it's because of the advances in digital cam' technology but the quality of the flying shots has increased dramatically recently.
That Spit piccy from jran is another rock solid capture.

Thanks Vern for the suggestion, I’ll give it a try.

Blue sky and soft clouds are the only background to this image. The main subject (Focke Wulf 190) is in focus and the sharpness draws the eye to it.

Thanks for getting us back on track Phil.
That is one of the crispest images I've seen of an RC plane in flight.
What size is the raw image form the camera?

Please be aware, I find nothing wrong with the original as posted, it is a great shot. I just thought you might give the other a try for comparison. Great thread!

The raw image right out of the camera is 8MB. Once processed into a Tiff image it grows to 23MB with an original print size of about 9X12. I can adjust the file and print size as needed without loosing too much detail.
