Paul,

As you know, I'm a photog by trade and so I grabbed the Canon 1V (35mm film) and a 300mm f2.8 lens and handed it to my buddy Mike. He shot a few rolls of film as I burned 1.5 gallons of Jet-A in 7 minutes. The light was what we refer to as "magic hour".

Mike did a great job getting 'em sharp with a little help from the top of the line autofocus.

Yeah this was my first jet kit. It was passed around to 3 different people before I put about 1000 hours into it. It took me about 120 hours of work to add the tail hook, tanks and missles. BTW Terry did an incredible job with the maiden and words cannot describe how well the yellow design carves around the sky!

Joe

PS Wow...Pat that cockpit is AWESOME! Will you be in Illinois this October?

AAAA...

In case you don't know... If your photo is hosted by another site, use the "IMG" button which shows the photo in line with the text. As opposed to the "http://" button which shows the link. Very nice jet, by the way.

I hope you don't mind... I was snooping around on your site and noticed a great picture of a Starfighter photo pass. That totally looks like the real thing... which is perfect for this thread. (hint hint: you should post it)

Ya, saw them... I hope you don't do what you do with your other planes to your F18...

Joe, I saw that the "magic hour" thought process took place but...well...actually I think you should have waited for another 3.5 to 4 minutes The wonderful focus is going to be extremely handy when you reshoot in the near future.
Any word on Lubbock yet?

Mr. James,
Good to see you all up in nis beeeeyyyaaatch again.
I think your image says it all, at least until the book gets rewritten (KAB200).

L8,
Paul

Hi Paul,

THANKS!

(and again, I apologize for interrupting the "flow" of this thread... It's my past life as a wise guy drummer once again rearing it's ugly head.)

King Air goes back on the workbench in about 10 days, and I can't wait!!! Warm up your riveting fingers, Paul.

Blackie'

The picture in post #102 is correct. What you are describing is a PT-22, whereas the plane in post #102 is a PT-16 or PT-20 also built by Ryan. If you look at my avitar, you'll see a PT-21 which I soloed. It preceded the PT-22.

I have lost it. ~
I wouldn't start accusing a plane to be scale or
not unless it had something that a real plane could'nt have
in other words- If the real plane can have it as an option, the plane is still
scale- You can remove the wheel pants on all full size aircraft.
even have a plane w\a big hole and it would still be scale.
Oh and as far as scale goes, If you want to go Bravo than
none of these planes are scale.
I like this thread, and Mustang 51 has the right idea
but just because a plane is not the same as all of em , it might be the
same as one of em
I'm sorry if this bothers you.

Thanks SDC, and THANKS to all you guys that are posting some awesome pics. That shot of the F-18 is unbelievable.
I have a couple of shots of my Stuka that I would like to post. Only problem is that I keep getting that damn message that the file is too big. Can anyone give some help on down sizing the pic. to an acceptable size?
Please remember guys, lets keep this friendly.

Mustang51. You need a photo or graphic editor to change the size of your file. Typically something in the 500x375 pixel range will get your pictures posted here without a problem. If your running windows 98 or Xp. look in your "accessories" and select the "paint" program. You can load your file into that program and then under "image" and then "attributes" make your pictures a smaller size. Hope that helps. BobH.

My files are too big too... and I'm ich'in to post one of my Spit pics!

I tried your paint program suggestion, but it just "cropped" the photo off, showing only the spinner.

What am I doing wrong ?

The pic is in my gallery .. 3 rd one over number 605.

That's my "scale" best shot.

Suggestions ?

Post it for me ?

Help me !

TIA
