[The whole idea behind me starting this thread was for guys (and gals) to post pictures of model airplanes that look like shots of actual aircraft. Not pictures that look like shots of models.
For the THIRD TIME. Can we PLEASE post pictures of models that look like pictures of REAL airplanes?
This means....
The airplane should be a scale model.
(What does this mean?) It means things like strut covers if the real plane had them. It means authentic looking struts, not music wire. It means a pilot in the cockpit if the picture is an Aeriel shot and the pilot would be viewable. ETC...ETC...
-Thanks again all,

-Mustang51 [/QUOTE]

The last thing I want to do is "turn off" anyone off from posting in this thread, but you know what????????
I GIVE UP!
Just 6 short posts ago I defined what the spirit of this thread was about. (Actually... I did it in the very beginning).
So what the hell guys... lets just start posting any old photo we have... Any Bingos or Hots out there?

(Is that Dragonfly a drone, cause I don't see a pilot ?).

Call me picky... I was just trying for a "Top Gun" feel to a photo thread.
Speaking of which. Can anyone tell me if "Top Gun" requires pilots in the aircraft when it's flying? I'd be interested in knowing.

Thanks,

Mustang51

How about this one of an Avonds F-15 being flown at Ozark Mountain Jets 2002?

I never could figure out why he did such a good job on the main gear doors and did not do a nosegear door. There is one other non-scale item on the F-15. Can you spot it?

No, it wasn't the pushrods I had in mind. Take a look at the Stars-and-Bars. The insignia he used is WWII vintage. No red bars. The red bars were added when the Army Air Corps became the U.S. Air Force in 1947.

Absolutely awesome L 1011 pic!!!!!

That thing looks so real I'll bet you have to go through metal detector security, open your laptop and remove your shoes every time you want to watch it fly at the field!
