Hi All,
I was wondering what is the best location (if any) for a base loaded antenna. Is it better to have it inside the canopy or better having it behind the canopy facing toward the rear of the heli? I have a fiberglass canopy and I was wondering if there was any issues of the antenna being inside the fiberglass?
Thanks

Guys,

I have a GPH 346 and a HHI antenna. Could I install it inside the canopy?

My electric concept has the base loaded whip mounted between the skids and pointing forward. It is mounted on a bracket bolted to the landing gear bracket.

I have it installed the same way as you did but is very vulnurable,
That is he reason I asked if I could installed it inside the canopy.
I have read that inside fiberglass canopies is ok, but my heli has plastic canopy. So I am not so sure.
