Yep,...he shoulda backed off the throttle, aborted takeoff, and used some rudder.....but then I wouldn't be able to entertain you guys with this video if he did that. And yes, this is the same pilot in the Peashooter video.

Jeeze, it sounded like he was mad at the plane. I think the plane should be angry with him.

He was mad because it didn't have a chance to fly a long time then have a really awesome crash. I'd be mad at anything too because that looked like a nice airplane, hope he can fix everything up again.

He should fix this one first, sell it, and then use the money to buy a trainer!

Actually, he gave the plane to the kid in the yellow shirt, minus the receiver.

Well I've looked at this one several times and I have a few observations and a couple of questions. First, the engine didn't sound right, still sounded cold or too rich, take your pick, was taking off in a cross wind, didn't compensate for the wind and when the plane went down the embankment he was in a wind shadow allowing him to regain control momentarily, then as he started to climb the near tail/ crosswind got him and dirt dived him. Any takers on those observations? A question about the engine and the flying park layout.
1. The plane seemed to gather speed quickly at low RPMs before the engine had a good chance to shoulder into the load of the plane. Any thoughts on that?
2. If the pilot would have taxied down a 100 feet or so could he have made a better angle into the wind takeoff?

Nice plane, too bad about the ground incursion, lucky kid!!!!!!

when i saw this vid, i cried a little inside....1)that was a really nice hurricane (i love hurricanes) 2)his crappy flying skills
the music at the end of the video, made my day. it pretty much sums that guy up
and when he said "that was screwed up" he should have said "I am screwed up"

Looks like he remembered to hold up elevator to late in his run up, and then force the plane into the air before it was ready to fly. Tip stall and the roll to the left are classic symptoms.

Now if he had a Pool on the side of the runway to crash into, his plane would have been a little wet... but it would have stayed in one piece. I didn't see a Foo Fighter fly buy, so I don't think it was that.

Seriously, I don't know how much experiance the pilot had... It didn't seem he had much. Plus if he was used to grass or dirt fields, he should have known that the pavement would have made his plane more touchy.

I feel bad for the guy, it WAS a nice plane. He made a few mistakes and bad judgement calls. I've done a few myself in the past my first year of flying. From what I saw in the movie, I don't think he was ready for a Warbird when he attempted to fly it. I guess some people know more than the people with experiance. JMHO

Anyone knows what kit or ARF that was? Again... that's a bumber.
