Well I've looked at this one several times and I have a few observations and a couple of questions. First, the engine didn't sound right, still sounded cold or too rich, take your pick, was taking off in a cross wind, didn't compensate for the wind and when the plane went down the embankment he was in a wind shadow allowing him to regain control momentarily, then as he started to climb the near tail/ crosswind got him and dirt dived him. Any takers on those observations? A question about the engine and the flying park layout. 1. The plane seemed to gather speed quickly at low RPMs before the engine had a good chance to shoulder into the load of the plane. Any thoughts on that? 2. If the pilot would have taxied down a 100 feet or so could he have made a better angle into the wind takeoff? Nice plane, too bad about the ground incursion, lucky kid!!!!!! Troy
