Hi

Has anyone got any 5 cylinder radial videos of either the os or ASP/SC Magnum ?

Does it sound anything like this gas radial ?
http://www.mnbigbirds.com/images/Video%20Clips/yak11.wmv

I think it is the 400cc gass radial from Airworld.de or robart, but the price is too steep for me....... It would be nice if the "cheap" smaller 5 cylinder glow sounds about the same.

This is the most fantastic radial video I've seen so far.

Just think, there is none of that stupid music that overcomes the sound of the engine.

This is a lengthly video and it will take at least 15 min to download but it is worth the wait. All 62 MB of it.

Enjoy,

Jim

Agreed! Show me a turbine model ANYWHERE that can match the sound and soul of that plane!

BTW Jim, took me 204 seconds for the download.

That's about what it took BLW to load also. We were talking on the land line when he downloaded it. Don't know why it was so slow for me? My connection is usually rather fast.

I just tried to see the rate and it was going to be 7 min.

OK, so he starts it up and I think, "Not bad....I guess it sounds pretty good." But after the first high speed pass, I thought, "Holy $h!t!" Man, that engine just sounds glorious. I haven't been around many multi-cylinder model engines, but I can't imagine they get much more realistic than this beast. Thanks for posting a link to the vid.....it's certainly one I'm going to keep and replay often.

Erik

I found alot more info in the plane in the video.
It has a Moki S250 5 cylinder radial, and the plane is a Yak-11 from http://www.skygate-collection.de/ in germany.
It also uses a Solo 4 blade prop http://www.soloprops.com/

I just have to own this combo

Wow!! Thanks for the extra pics. That model is without a doubt the best platform for the large radials produced yet. Just awesome!
