Trinity monster fuel-want to make it 18% oil, have three gallons (Ideas)?? It is 12% oil and 20% nitro now. Also where to get the additive (castor or synthetic)????????? Thank you guys for your help!!!Really need to find the additive:Castor or Synthetic, PLEASE.

This is not exact, but is simple. A gallon is 128 oz, so 1% of a gallon is @ 1.28 oz. You want to increase your oil by 6% so add 6 x 1.28 oz = 7.68 oz. to each gallon. As said this is not exact but pretty close.

I'm not trying to open a can of worms here, but adding 1.6 oz for each percent you want to increase the oil is a better 'rule of thumb' approximation if the percentage you're aiming for is in the range of 18% to 22%, so add 6 X 1.6 = 9.6 oz. That will raise the percentage up to 18.1%.

I come up with adding 4.3 oz to each gallon. [;)] worms?

Nope, no worms, but I will stick to my original answer: Per my rule of thumb, add 9.6 oz of oil one gallon of 12% oil fuel to increase the oil to about 18% give or take a tenthof a percent or so. If you want to hit 18% on the nose, accurate to within a whole bunch of decimal places, add exactly 9.365853659 oz of oil. I like the 1.6 oz rule of thumb. It gets you as close as you need to be. Wait a minute, what's that slimy thing I feel crawling up my leg?

The real answer is add 9.4 oz per gallon.
