No not yet but I want to buy the fuel before it arrives so I can run it in as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot

It depends on what fuels are available in SA but for running in it's preferable to have at least 20% oil (I use 25%) and a fair bit of castor in the mix. Nitro isn't necessary but if you want to use it then I'd suggest 5%.

That much oil is certainly kind to your engine, but it's not really necessary. Most manufacturers recommend 18% and many people (mostly those who don't care about their warranties ) use less.

Matthew, thats a plain bearing engine and the extra oil is good insurance during break in. Just in case they are overly tight. I know many modern engines don't usually have this problem, but it still happens now and then.

Hi guys,

I check A website and they have 5%/15%and20%. So Ill be going for the 20% but there are three diffrent kinds which should I use for my engine?

They the same brand :Morgan fuel

1 :Cool Power Fuel

2 : Omega Fuel

3 : Sidewinder Fuel

Dont know which to choose from? Would I need to add anything to these fuels and if yes what?

Thanks a lot

Matthew

That 5/15/20% is nitro content. Cruel Power/Omega has only got 17% oil but at least the Omega has some castor in it. That Sidewinder is a car fuel and it's probably got 10% or less oil and it'll kill your engine.

Out of that lot, the Omega would be your best bet but get a bottle of castor to add to it.

If you're aiming for 20% total oil then add 35cc/litre but chances are you'll be buying an American gallon which is about 3.785 litres so add about...ummm...mumble mumble (carry the 2, divide by 6.058 and find the square root of 3)....errr....add 132.5cc of castor. Then do what I do when I'm mixing fuel and add a dash more oil for luck .
