Cougar-RCU -> Wire Length For Charging (1/27/2003 1:17:37 AM) Can the Charger To the Battery Wire length be to long? like would 6 feet be a problem? I was just wondering because I have planes hanging and I wanted not to take them down to charge.. These would be charged from a Triton Charger. Could a Longer wire length cause false readings? Thanks Jeff

Red Scholefield -> Wire Length For Charging (1/27/2003 2:11:45 AM) Use fairly heavier gauge wire (#18) or better and you should have no problem. If you are charging at home you are probably not using real high rates anyway so you wouldn't have as much problem as you would if your were tryint to charge at the max rate available.

Rodney -> Wire Length For Charging (1/27/2003 3:14:53 AM) As Red said, as long as you are not charging at a high rate and depending on a peak detection device to cut off the charge, you should be okay.

canesugarrules -> Wire Length For Charging (2/8/2003 8:03:56 AM) What would you guys consider a high rate? Would 1.25c with the Triton set at 10 mv/cell be OK(ni-cd's)? This would also be used at the field to charge from the car battery. Thanks
