Does Jett make an in cowl muffler to fit a Moki 1.8, if so what kind of performance gain can be expected? Thanks, Paul

Hi,

Thanks for writing.

Yes, Dub does off a turbo-jett for the larger Moki engines.

Performance increase is notible. Boost is similar to what we see with the OS160 - 300-500 rpm - which at these 18" prop sizes is a big increase in power). Most notibly there is a torque increase - so you can either take the rpm gain, or move up in prop size and keep the engine in the same rpm range it runs with a stock muffler.

Bob

hmmmmmmm......

It is the same muffler used for the 1.8 engine.

There is not a huge amount of boost because the basic rpm tends to be lower.

Email Dub at jettengr@sbcglobal.net --- he has a bit more experience with the bigger engines.
