i never run it so i figured there is no use in it setting here but who knows i might keep it just for when i get bored and have nothing to do

ehroof -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/14/2007 6:03 AM)

keep it, you will get the bug again for sure.

absolutjh -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/15/2007 4:30 AM)

Yeah we got snow too. This is day 5 of a snowy yard, so I thought I would see how thw Hurricane PRO would fare. It was a blast and got great traction.

yeah i live in the banana belt of WA it usually never gets below 20 here and it hardly ever snows, well we got almost 3 inches last night and it got down to 0! crazy

nitro_racer_1 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/15/2007 8:32 AM)

yeah it must be weird having snow their, weathers screwed up lol. looks great, wish i could run my lightning but i broke the front steering knuckle and the motor has no more compression. lol it seems like something like that always happens when it snows here

chunkysause7 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/17/2007 5:47 AM)

where did u get ur aluminum steering arm??

j-boy -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/21/2007 1:54 AM)

Is this what u mean? The battery compartment is meant to house the reciever and battery pack. mine is extra tight because I've replaced the standard connecters with insulated spade connecters but with a little effort I can get it all in there.

Oh and by the way... Some of you were posting about the weather? Try being in Northeast OK right now! We just got our power back yesturday after like four days without power and temperatures in the teens. The ice storm that hit most of the area is really incredible. Jay OK (my town) looks like some kind of war zone. Theres still some 60,000 in OK that still dont have power so I guess I should feel lucky. I was able to get hold of a ventless natural gas wall heater that kept my pipes from freezin. My brother had to just leave his house and go to Kansas. He lives in a rural area and we still cant get to his house to survey the damage. Was a miserable few days but we made it through [:D]

Hey jeff, heres some pics for ya and anybody else who might need them, They aint the greatest, but I hope they help...

The battery is on the left and in the box on the right is for the reciever, power switch and a bunch of wires. The black piece to the left of the power switch is the antenna mount.

It's kind of a pain in the butt that you have to attach the throttle servo to the top plate itself.

And just for the heck of it, heres a few pics of my old Rustler:

I got this thing 10 years ago when I was 16. I am now in the midst of upgrading it. I used two of the stock shocks off of my Volcano on the front, and two of the ones that I bought for the Volcano (but wouldn't fit) on the rear. Just thought I'd throw 'em in there!![:D]

zack221 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/21/2007 6:51 PM)

man nantucket that rusty is clean i thought it was brand new until i saw where u said it was 10 years old

jefffoht -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/21/2007 9:06 PM)

Thank you nantucket that was a big help i just think that you have to buy that humpback abd you cannot use the original batteries i already bought the hump back

nantucket -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/22/2007 3:25 AM)

Thanks zack, it's been in the closet for a while I just decided one day to dig it out and clean it up. Then I went and bought wheels and a body from a new Rusty, when I'm done it'll basiaclly be an XL-5 Rusty!![8D]

Cool, I'm glad I could offer you some help jeff, you should be pretty much set once you get that battery in there!![;)]

Kemo -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/22/2007 8:53 AM)

new to my list :D

nitro_racer_1 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/22/2007 8:57 AM)

awesome! u are the first person to get one, how do u like it? any complaints? its the same as the himoto truggy right?

Kemo -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/22/2007 9:05 AM)

people get it confused about himoto... himoto bought into that model AFTER Team vtx. But anywho, nah i'm not the first, but I am one of the first 10-20 who got it. The biggest flaw I ran into is that the throttle linkage was about 2-3mm too short, so I yoinked the one off my redcat and threw it on there.

nitro_racer_1 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/22/2007 9:08 AM)

how does it handle? jump? ect.

Kemo -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/23/2007 7:28 AM)

there is still snow on the ground. it'll be a while before i get a good feeling of the truck.

nitro_racer_1 -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (1/23/2007 8:09 AM)

j_blaze -> RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides (2/20/2007 6:57 AM)
