hey I'm looking to get the best batteries I can for my E-maxx (not racing, just like something with good power that lasts long) and I see so many brands around these days. Currently I have some generic 1500mah NiCds, some Intellect 7.2v 3000mah NiMH's and just ordered a pair of Intellect 8.4v 4200NiMH's. Just after ordering, I noticed these GP 8.4v 4300NiMH's (don't look like GP's, maybe some other line by Sanyo?) which are the same price, I guess this is more for others out there who aren't sure which batteries to buy (and for next time I buy batteries, but at this rate I should go into business disposing of them too...).

Any experienced R/C'ers out there who have some good input on say.... the top 3 or 4 battery packs to buy for cars/trucks?

Most of the skinny right now is that the Intellect cells are a bit better than the GPs. Sanyo seems to have fallen out of the race.

I'm flying four six cell packs of the IB 4200s and I am very pleased with their performance. They seem to give up amps easily and hold a high level of voltage right to the "knee."

Depends..

I'd be tempted to replace the NiMh's with Lipo's..

Well... for an E-maxx I'll probably stick with the easy's (NiMH), but I'm looking at getting either a Yak-55 3D or an E-flite Mini Pulse XT, then I'll go lipo, brushless and all. I just don't think it's worth the expense to go brushless in my E-maxx... at least not until I burn out a motor or something...

But thanks for helping me out in the right battery, I'm glad I have all IB's now.
