Status: offline 		After mixing a batch of fuel today I was shocked to see that Klotz Super Technoplate cost $9 a quart from Tower Hobbies. I like the Synthetic/Castor blend but will be willin to try other oils. The oil and methanol added up to a total of just over $10 per gallon with zero nitro and that is too expensive to go to all the trouble.

Does anyone know of a cheaper source for oil than Tower Hobbies. I live in Rural MS and have looked on the internet but it seems that shipping is the killer with mixing fuels.

Status: offline 		A motorcycle or go-kart shop might be a source. A lot of Kart racers run two cycle engines on a methanol/oil mix. You need to find gallon (or bigger) jugs to save money, as the small sizes are always very costly.

Status: offline 		I get my oil direct from Klotz. The shipping on single containers are high, but if you order case lots then the shipping is considerably less. Cost to my door is always less the half of what even the local stores would sell it for.

Status: offline 		I spent some time on the internet Wednesday looking for cheap price on klotz. I found the following link. A gallon of super techniplate is just $19.90 plus shipping. I ran through the checkout to get shipping price and it is about $10 for 2 gallons or a little less than 10 for one gallon. So two gallons for about $40 makes it $5 a quart A good deal. However I postponed until next couple checks as Christmas has sapped my fiscal reserve.

Status: offline 		Buzz I think you said you live in the tooleys. Comet kart in greenfield In. has Klotz at about $6.95 a qt and will ship any amount. You might try S&W for supplies.........

Status: offline 		KL-100 is about $10.95 a quart from klotzlube.com and about $41.61 per gallon. I have my own 30 gallon barrel and can ship it to you for about $30 a gallon plus UPS. No hazmat charge.
