Gary,

Lets just say 100. This is for both wings, the main bars that attach them together, and the entire tail section. I live in menifee Ca. So if there is any shipping needed, then shipping would be the cost of shipping. I believe you are local to me, so that shouldnt be an issue.

Hey Guys,
Sorry i haven't been on lately just been so busy getting this airplane together. May is coming fast. IMAA is coming back to Castle this year and i'm trying to get her ready and PVMAC is putting on their event in June.
Got the wings finished and working on the fuselage now. got the landing gear and tail section done working on how to install the speed controls inside the fuselage. Any ideas. space is going to be tight got an idea to mount them just below the main gear and cut holes in the bottom of the fuselage for cooling. The hatch cover is going to be hinged in the front and i have some small earth magnets to mount on the rear of the hatch so there will be no screws.
Ill try to upload pic but the enternet sucks right now lol. anyway back to work.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but had a couple questions! I picked up one of these from a friend that had it sitting in his garage for a few years. I am going electricand pretty much copied fordtech's setup. I am going to run one battery for 2 motors to keep the weight down and I am targeting 17-18lbs ready to fly. My question is mainly on the aileron to rudder mix. I have a couple planes that need the rudder turned with the ailerons to keep the nose down in a turn, I also have some aircraft that need some opposite rudder (similar to knife edge) to coordinate a nice turn. SO my question is which works best for this model? I saw that some of you are using 40% rudder to aileron and was wondering which direction? I am assuming its with the ailerons as oppesed to against like knife edge but wanted to be sure!

Hi Jerry here, I have mine set at 40% mixed aileron and rudder. During turns if you go left the rudder will turn left and same as the right. Ive been also thinking about reducing it down to about 30%.ive done some aileron rolls and and they are not crisp so i need to take out some rudder.

Thanks for the reply Jerry!! Thats what I figured but wanted to be sure. So I take it you have your new one up in the air? So what type of flight times are you getting with the 4) 4s 5000 batteries and how many mah do you end up putting back in each battery after a flight? I went ahead and did the same motors and mounts that you used but went with the Turnigy Plush 60 ESC's I have had good luck with them in the past.

Well i converted mine back to glow engines. I had issues with the speed controls and the motors would shut down after about 5 minutes. i now have four OS25fxs installed and have two good flight on her now lasting about 8 minutes with fuel to spare. I did the maiden flight this pass saturday and planning to fly her again this weekend. getting ready to take her down to The Orange County Modellers club down in Southern California on the 12th of Nov. They have a Scale Fun Fly event. Look like you from San Diego so its not far from Lake Irvine where the field is.
