hence the name of the product... after run oil... you put it inside the carb after every run.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you have A.D.D. or something. No one said you don't need to do that, you need to clear the engine of fuel when your done for the day, by running as much fuel out as possible, then put 3 or four drops of after run oil or whatever you are using in the carb and pull the rip cord a few times to work it around. Then put it away.

1. Nice thing to say to a kid, i know he's only a kid, nitro speed, how old are you??

2. I read your comment about WD40 containing water, not true, it displaces water (hence the WD "water displacement") )and does not contain any, thats why you can use it on electronics, if it had water it would ruin electronics.

3. After run oil and 3 in 1 are not the same, after run is designed for use in a nitro engine to disipate moisture that nitro fuel can attract almost like dry gas with lubricant, 3 in 1 is not the same and i wouldnt reccomend anyone put it in their engine instead of afterrun oil. I mean how much cheaper can it be? Your a hobby dealer so you must get a good price of the afterrun oil!!!!

4. nitrospeed, you put AFTERRUN OIL in your engine after the end of your day using the car, put 2-3 drops in the carb, take out the glow plug and put 2-3 more drops in there and pull the cord a few times, like 4-5 and put the plug back in.

5. Yes i am back due to popular demand!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I never said 3 in one oil is better, but I've used it for years, never had a problem with an engine, I have 10 year old engines that run like there new and all I've ever used is 3 in one oil. I also never said 3 in one oil and after run oil were the same thing.

Second too bad your back.

Third it wasn't meant to be mean. I would expect you and your goofy buddy to take it out of context.

Uh ya it's true wd-40 will let you steel parts rust.

i never said wd40 wouldnt let steel rust, i simply stated that you are wrong that wd40 contains water. WD40 is meant to displace water from circuit boards and electronics. its just an added bonus that is lubricates, not once did i say its a protectant, i was just saying that it does not have water in it like you said.

I know you thinks its bad i am back but you should see the email i had gotten over the last couple of days for me to come back and not pay attention to you, so i decided that i have made many friends on this forum and that its too bad for you that i am back!!!!

good to have you back ehroof. and i didnt say wd-40 has water in it, unless you were taliking to allaboutfun. I know the whole afterrun oil procedure i just dont know what to use. traxxas said wd-40 was the best for there cars, but what about this. i can buy a 4 oz bottle of afterrun for 5 bucks and a large can of wd for 1-2$. do you think wd-40 is okay? its cheap and it worked great for me and my old traxxas, but this isn't traxxas, so what would you say?? thanks and allaboutfun, im not a.d.d, i think its just the way you explain things, no offense or anything.

Thanks kid, i didnt say you about the water business it was allabouthobbyrun guy. i would suggest to use real after run oil in all nitro engines. i could understand why they want to use wd since is displaces moisture but i would stick to after run, that $5 bottle will last you a long time, i use after run in my traxxas motors too.

sure it will last long, your only using a few drops at a time. Only when your done for the day so even if you run every day it should last you a while.

your welcome, by the way i use denatured alcahol to clean my cars then blow them off with a compressor. have been doing it for years and have never had any problems. i buy it by the gallon and put it in a spray bottle, spray the car, clean with a paintbrush and tooth brush and blow dry, you can use the cans of air if you dont have a compressor

a gallon is like $10 but it will last a long time, as far as clean you can see how clean my cars look. a can of air is like $5 but you can get them on sale sometimes for 3 for $8 sometimes.

home depot, ace hardware, or any hardware store, lowes, a paint store. You dont have to buy it by the gallon, you can buy it by the quart and pint too.

Pharmacy, I think the Walmart Pharmacy has it, or walgreen, or CVS. Careful not to get it in a cut if you have any cuts on your hands it can burn, I wear gloves, like latex gloves. Also if you mix a cap full of wd-40 and a cup of simple green with a 1/4 cup of the alcohol, it makes a nice cleaner too, the simple green does a good job of breaking up the nitro oils that get all over. That's like a once a month thing though for me, where I tear the whole car down and wash it in the sink with engine and electronics off.

a pharmacy?? do you smoke crack???? Rubbing alcahol is in a pharmacy not denatured alcahol, it used for thinning and cleaning shellac. Also used for cleaning sealed woodwork and plastics since it dries so fast.

I dont reccomend mixing it with anything expecially simple green and like products since they are water based and can ruin your bearings and electronics.

You can buy it at the pharmacy, serious, you have to ask where it is though, lol, it's hidden back in a corner, Same Isle as the Rubbing Alchol but no where near it, my wife uses it to clean her finger nails instead of Nail Polish remover, it's not as strong scented and doesn't dry her fingers out, lol, that's how I know it's at the pharmacy in small quart bottles. Go to a Walgreens or a walmart pharmacy and ask for it.
