Msouth12 have you flow your corsair yet? "When are we going to see pictures of your plane Marty?" quote from "msouth12" Just kidding. Is the cmp corsair a good candidate for a ys 140? How easy does this plane build and fly?

See ya later man,
Mike

A YS 140 would be fine. The plane can fly decent on a saito 125, so a YS 140 would be a nice boost in performance. AS with any ARF, there are easy parts and some a little trying. I'd suggest right off the bat to go pneumatic instead of trying to outfit it with mechanical retracts.

I have installed now the Sierra retracts and during the trials they worked very good. Also for the engine I was able to decide which one I like to get. I ordered actually the Laser four stroke 240 V engine. This should be a powerful power source and the onliest engine who fit in the cowl without cutting anything.

Carsten

I do fly the CMP Corsair now for 3 years with a Laser 240V, prop 3-blade 16x10.
Last year I have stripped the model and upgraded it to more scale.

regards,
Jan

Hi Vasek and Bobbase,

I am using the mechanical retracts of Kenner Germany.

http://www.einziehfahrwerk.de/

But perhaps, the new electric Lado retracts for the Hangar 9 Corsair, will fit too, are they strong enough for the heaviar and larger CMP Corsair? I am very curious about this!

kind regards,
Jan

hello dutch . i am also using the retracts that you have , and they are not good at all. i had to re work them so they will not turn on landind or take off. as i red most of the posts for the cap i think the searias are better for the corsair , better quality.
