The Raze handles differnent on a track that has been cleaned of rocks and sticks and also from watering down the track. No more loose dirt and powder. The track gets a smooth one to two inch crust after watering a couple of times. Tires were changed because of new track conditions the raze handles better in bumps, jumps, washboard and is fast down the straights and realy fast coming out of corners it drifts in turns better too. I am useing knuckles because they save on track maintenance. I have to use a new front shock setup and am now useing 50wt. fluid one thick and one medium thick spacer, the back shocks were left the same. Almost four gallons of fuil and no broken parts.

I found a pipe i like if you have followed the post youll see first i tried a ofna 053, then went back to a stock raze pipe, now i am experimenting with a duratrax warhead pipe as soon as i get the fuel i ordered ill let you know how it works .Some thing i noticed about my fuel tank if you dont press down when you close the lid the red o-ring doesnt seat itself or otherwise close all the way with my thinking i would say it could cause a problem every once in a while [by not fuctioning as a chicken pop-er ] by letting out more tank pressure than the system was designed to do causing a lean condition FYI as far as i know associated coined the phrase chicken pop-er back around 1991

yea i just home from the lhs. I dumped about 225 into my raze new stereing servo, they battery back on the car and charger. a starter box with a 12 volt battery and charger.
and by the way i had a defect in my pipe they never made a hole for the hose to go into the exhaust so it would push air pressure through the gas tank into the carb, they fixed it though. so tomorrow will be by first day out with it

hope all goes well donny... seems like you've had it rough with this one, I just converted my sons green one over to the shaft start, I bought the shaft start system for the Warhead which works just fine in the raze for 32.00... nice setup, works like a charm!

Hi all, Im new to the site and just ordered a Raze from Tower Hobbies with a pretty nice discount and a bunch of accessories. Appreciate the input from everyone, actually seems useful instead of just flaming Duratrax. I am not new to Nitro R/C at all, but new to 1/8 buggies and will be sure to add my two cents once I get it up and running.

I just ordered one from my LHS and should be picking it up next Tuesday. Seems like so far so good for those here that are running it so far, so fingers crossed! I've had good luck with my little Mini Quake, so hopefully this will be as reliable...

donny if it pops or bogs it might be two to lean most likely off the bottom richen it a little maybe 2 hours or more [1hour =1/12th turn] a it should idle smooth after a run then drop down a little about 10 to 15 seconds later the common setting is 20 seconds or little less BUT::remember colder outside temp. a engine will tend run lean due to the fact that cold air is more dense then the opposite is true when its hot the air is less dense and the engine will run rich but at the same time a hot engine means its to lean and a cold engine means its two rich you have to find a point between the two if the engine is tuned correct then a person shouldn't have to really mess with the adjustments no more than a hour or two [1/12th to2/12th] turn from day to day when the outside temp changes whatever you do be CAREFULL the fastest tune doesn't mean the faster the car allways

diablo yes if you use a RX voltage regulator from a company like novak the reg. is designed just for that purpose and maintains a constant 6volt supply
