Hi,
I am interested in building a P-51 up from scratch and wondering what plans you guys recommend. I have built nonflying balsa models before and have experience helping build real airplanes(Van's Aircraft RV-10). Im looking for a model with a wingspan of 60" to 80", (or maybe i could scale the plans down?) and I dont really want to spend a fortune on this, just wanna keep it simple and cheep.

Thanks, youngpilot11

Bob Holman plans has a very scale 69" wingspan P-51 designed by Brian Taylor. Dave Platt has plans for a very accurate 81" Mustang as well.

The easiest and cheapest way to go would be either the top flite 60 sized mustang or the top flite giant scale. I just got my top flite 60 sized mustang ready for a test flight. It was a very nice building plane except for the radiator area.

I sure hope those guys are staring at my plane.
