Good morning, and Merry Christmas to all..... Today, setting up my current models to receive the Spektrum DX 7, I thought I'd check everything on the 5955's installed and working very well on the current setups. Of course, I am NOT 'resetting', as that would mess up a lot of stuff, but the programmer does permit checking and resetting only the "deadband" value, without messing with anything else. I verified this bench testing before doing the ones installed on the birds. Anyway - I reset the deadbands to "1", to make centers as tight as possible (see HUGE threads on **** and here about this concern), and they recalibrated just fine. Then, I decided to auto test the small movements. You can do this with the programmer in "Auto Test" mode, by using the D/R button, and adjusting the total amount of deflection that will occur using the potentiometer knob. It defaults to neutral, so you can watch on the screen the mseconds of travel you're setting up. Interestingly all of my servos with deadband at "1" will only actually start moving when there is "4" dialed. That means TWO mseconds either side of neutral, I think. At "2" on deadband, it takes 6 before observable movement around center occurs. To me, this confirms that the 5955TG has VERY tight centering, and that the deadband setting does, in fact, alter the "sensitivity" around the neutral center. It was good testing to do, and observe, and adds to the knowledge base a bit. Just sharing here to see if my tests confirm how they are SUPPOSED to be working. Thanks, and again, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
