Yeah DT I'm sure you would of had a blast tonight watching me you would of thought I was driving an Indy car. a couple of times I had to check my ant after striking the ground with it.
I think I may try sitting while flying. I do that with another friend of mine who has MD and can't stand so we fly his telemaster sitting in chairs.

Kassun, I will second the glow plug thing. I tried everything including super hot MC-59s before I ordered some of the Hangar 9 2-cycle super plugs. They're a bit pricey but last a while and are about the only thing the Evolution will run on.
Every other glow plug was cold enough to where the plane would die right after take-off unless I really kept throttle in it, then I could get around a couple laps but the darn thing would end up just dying before it ever got up to temperature.

Thanks guys for the help, I'll change out the plug and the seals and see what happens, I am going to call around today to the LHS to see about a 4 stroke and prices.
I'll post some pics of the carnage tonight.

    Thanks,
    Kassun

It just doesn't feel like flying if your not dipping and contorting your body in every which way going through the manuevers the way the plane is responding

Never owned an evolution so I can't really voice an opinion here, all I know is I have seen some other motors at our field and the guys cursing and pounding on their motors is a good enough reason for me not to venture down those roads, I bought one Supertigre instead of an OS last year, and its running better now, but the 1st season it would always stall out after idleing if you didn't feather the throttle back and forth to get it back to full power.

OS out of the box runs perfect, everytime ! so I'll pay the extra money from now on. just my .02

Dad welcome home,, How were the red bull races??

DownT I was referencing an old Saturday Night Live skit and it was totally tongue in cheek. Guess I forgot to put a smiley face or 'LOL' or something.. I suppose my particular sense of humor dosen't translate well into "internet speak" LOL
Anyway I was just kidding. I do that a lot! No offense intended.

Training day today but it should be pretty windy so I'll probably be the only one flying.....again!

Waldo I spoke to an old friend yesterday who has a Southern Rock band from Arkansas called Judge Parker. Ever hear of them?
They've been around at least 20 years. I know they have played a lot with Jim Dandy, William Lee Golden and others.

Plowboy I can't say I have heard of them, but that doesn't mean a thing,, I don't even remember who we are half the time lol

DownT That is some beautiful waters you have up there, well according to the pics anyway,, I was in a trans looking at them, I could almost see me out there with a cold Bud in hand, my footsies hanging over the rail of my pontoon boat and my T_ _ _ T Twipe with pontoons taking off over the calming sea, of course while wrapped in an alaskin fur.

I was just checking to see if anyone was paying attention nab it all I should know better. LOL

Waldo.........if you were out there with us today, you'd be wanting a hot Bud! Water temperature was a frigid 35 degrees F man. A hot cup of cocoa laced with 100 proof Youkon Jack.......is more the order for the day. I have to say that if it wasn't for sights like these..........I wouldn't be here. Oh, fishing, hunting, and trapping.........has to be good too, in order to meet the requirements of hillbilly living..........by the way........the word "hillbilly" came from this neck of the woods, not down south as some would like to believe.

Oh yea T _ _ _ T is an awesome plane fun fun fun fun fun yeeee haaaaaa and I thought hillbillies came from the TV show Beverly.
I'm just a dumb country southern boy from NY born in the wrong part of the world 10 years too late,, LOL I might have been rich had I been old enough to play southern rock when it was first coming out. but I will just keep the torch burning instead.[)]
