Now that you've mentioned landing gear, has anybody found any carbon fiber (lightweight) gear that will fit the twist and give some more clearance?
What about the FutanaX 100 gear? It looks a little big though.
My big 15x4 is pretty close to the ground the more I look at it. LOL!
If I can't find anything I might borrow the UCD gear idea. Slick find.

I know, twist forum. But I couldn't resist.
Speaking of red bull air race...
Anybody see this? The new MXS from MX Aircraft? Looks like it'd make a killer new model. I'm sick of seeing edges and yaks and sukhois everywhere.
    Somebody build this plane! http://www.mxaircraft.com/mxs.php

Gear looks pretty good there. I doubt if I can get that company through the shop but I'll have to measure up the twist gear to see how close I can get. Thanks!
Also, have you ordered from them before? Are they good to go or kinda iffy?

Link thats a great Link for finding the balance point,, LOVE IT, I will most likely not get a chance to balance it, that would ruin all the excitement anyway,, lol Just kidding, I'll put the chart to the test If I get a chance for sure.

There might be another weeks delay dang it all, It appears the wife has to work late now, and 3 of the other guys mightn not be able to make it there this week, so If I want to video the maiden I might have to wait,,,,,, PEOPLE ARE KILLING ME,,,, UGGGHHHHH

Kassun I will send my Paint brush pic sketch tomorrow as its on my work computer,,,, very simple.

RCCar that looks awesome go ahead and build it LOL

    lol, I wish.
I'm an arf person still, at least until I have the room/resources to do some building.

How's this look? The CF gear for the UCD 46...
    http://graphtechrc.com/Secure/images/196.jpg
    3" Base / 5-3/4" Total Height / 12-1/8" Spread
Looks to be about the right width, about 1-3/4" taller though... but I think you can drill the holes a little higher to make up for it. They're also wider which doesn't really matter to me, but can't really be a bad thing.

There's also this for the Kyosho Flip 3D...
    http://graphtechrc.com/Secure/images/205_small.jpg
    3" Base / 4-5/8" Total Height / 9-3/4" Spread
5/8" taller which could be about perfect. I'd really like an or so, but that might give me about an inch of prop clearance. It's a little narrow but could be worse I suppose.

    Forgot stock dimensions...
According to my ruler and calipers: Base: 3.1380", Height: 4", Spread: 10.5"

What do you guys think? Or should I just be careful not to tip it forwards? I'm kind of nervous about hitting the prop. I only have about 1.5" of clearance.

Kassun for crying out loud and to think I was comparing the T_ _ _T to that.
I mixed my fuel today and flew 5 flights. still working on my hovers I'm getting 6 to 7 seconds out of it before she slips out of it.
I need to do just alittle tuning on the engine I think my low end may be just a tad bit lean some times when taxing out of the pits she dies when I throttle up. I wouldn't want that when she's inverted and 3 ft off the ground.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the pictures......unfortunately I don't have any current ones of the T_ _ _ T in action........they're coming. (I doubt that they'll be as entertaining as Waldo's, though. )

Waldo.........It's been a long time since my fuel tank was bone dry, but if memory serves me correctly.........4.5" is where I like it to be.

I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.

1.) Why is the word T***t not spelled out in this thread.

2.) I got a new T***t 40 PNP all ready for maiden. The manual calls for a CG of between 4"-5". Mine is balanced right at 5". Anyone know if this will be ok? I tend to like my planes tail heavy and am used to flying them that way.

    Thanks!

pkevinb.......welcome aboard! You should be fine with that CG location. The name isn't spelled out in protest of the terrible customer service some of us have received.........others have demonstrated their solidarity by doing so as well........hence "T_ _ _ T". Aside from that, the plane "rocks"........... it's the customer service department that's the pits. (gravel pit.........rocks...........for those out there that can appreciate feeble attempts at humor.)

I balanced my PNP @ 4.75" & it fly's level inverted & upright with no elevator input. works great for me.

pkevinb, the balance point at 5" should be Ed Zackery right.

pkevinb welcome and that CG sounds about right to me as well, especially if you are used to flying that way. Have fun with your new toy and keep us posted on progress please.

RCCARDUDE THAT MXS LOOKS SOOO SWEET!!! I WANT IT NOW! I'LL EVEN TAKE THE TRIM SCHEME AS IS. WHOEVER PUTS OUT THE FIRST DECENT ARF HAS A SALE HERE.

Sorry for screaming. I got a little excited. Did anyone else look at that plane?

Down T I'm way jealous. I used to fish several times a week back in Louisiana. Salt and fresh. Now I have to content myself with hauling these giant dumb Stergeon out of the Columbia River several times a year! Gotta go home for a visit soon!!!
