Tower Hobby has Midwest products that I've had great success with. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0091p?&P=SM&C=RFZ&V=MID

If you're looking for larger pieces or larger diameters.........try kite companies. http://www.goodwindskites.com/merch/list.shtml?cat=framework.wrappedcarbon

OK Waldo, send me the bill for the parts but NOT the labor! No way could I afford that! I'm calling Lloyds of London right now for an insurance quote...they my have some questions for you

Buckskin Ouch!!! 90 mph crosswind? I am leaning toward a rudder problem like Waldo. Is this a totally new setup, servos, radio and all?

All you guys with 150s... If noone wants the Saito 1.80 what do think about that engine on the 150 T___T? Does anyone have that set-up?

    Plowboy,

That is a pretty good deal on your 1.80. List it on here on the for sale ads. You will get your asking price. I just sold a 1.00 with a season worth of flying on it for $225.00. It sold in less than a week. I wish I had the extra cast for your 1.80, I would buy it from you.

Adam G Thanks man, I'm not all that hot to sell it or I would do exactly that. I just thought if one of you guys wanted it I'd let you have it. I'm just really disappointed with the Edge as it is now but it's not the fault of the engine. What do you think about me putting it on the 150 T___T? They only want $150.00 for the plane right now.

    Plowboy,

Might not be the crazy power most of us are used to with 40 sized Twist and the .61 power horse, but I am sure the saito would fly it quite nicely. That is a big bird. I was thinking of putting a 1.80 on my Funtana 100x. I think the all up wieght is 12.5 pounds and the Saito 1.25 is not quite enough for me. Maybe one of the 150 guys can chime in and give us a wieght on her. If it is over 15 pounds then I would go for a smaller plane.

PLowboy how much was the edge?? and what don't you like about it?

Okay Friday night and I've opened the Twipe, I've moved the battery & receiver forward put on the nose spinner and threw my cell phone and electric razer in the nose area as well, its raining right now and they are predicting strong winds for tomorrow, so it looks like a perfect day for another try...

Kerwin - you might try www.centralhobbies.com up in Billings MT. They have a lot of carbon fiber push rod material in different length's and dia's. Great RC store and luckily for me only about 1.5 hours north of me.

Sorry I haven't been on here for awhile guys, but we transferred with the company this winter (Dec and we are still looking for a house to buy!!!). Thankfully my brother lived here but he is on temp assignment down in OK so his house just happened to need a baby sitter

This has been the winter from H@LL. We never thought it would quit snowing, oh wait, it hasn't, we are under a winter storm warning in the mountains above us right now !! When the weather has given us a break it's been during those lovely mid week, busy at work, can't get away kind of times

My brother did come home for two weeks of R&R and so he and I were able to find a day that looked promising and I took it off. We had a great day of flying !! He had his trusty Advance 40, and for the 2nd time this year I was able to get out and wring the T___T40 and 60 both out YYYEEEEAAAAAAA!

Waldo, I love the TripeT____T! I had my knee's knocking just watching the vid. It's about as tall as it is long. Have you had anymore luck dialing it in??

Buckskin, sorry about the hard rolling landing, buy it looks like the grass should have helped save quite a bit of it. In true T___T fashion just take a mister filled full of CA, give a squirt and quick shake and she'll be as good as new. I've watched the video a BUNCH, and it looks like the rudder may have started it, but it sure looks like aileron after that I'm afraid. I have an OS91 on my 60, and I can't say I've ever had a lot of trouble keeping the torque out of it, sorry I can't help you much either.

Later guys and keep loving those T___T's

Rule one: No matter what else happens, fly the airplane.
Rule two: Fly it until the last piece stops moving.
You know you've landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi.

Well guys I'm (not so) happy to announce that I discovered the cause of the T-T 60 death roll. I guess checking the control surfaces 6 times wasn't quite enough. I finally got a chance to check it again and what do you know, the ailerons were reversed. Dang thats hard to admit. As far as damage goes the only thing holding the engine in place was the throttle cable. I just dont have time to rebuild it so I will have to save for a replacement.

Thanx for all the input. I guess it wasn't the wifes fault this time.

    Thanks LINK, Thanks ADAMG.

Waldo I'm looking forward to another great video. Aught to be interesting, to say the least That Edge and I just never saw eye to eye. Can't blame the plane entirely. Shes under powered and very tailheavy. I've just been too stubborn to add weight! I could be a bit over-propped as well. The plane weighs in at 13.5 dry and has a 78" wingspan. I like to look on the bright side of things, I can fix the CG and the power problems both with a little gasser on the nose, and that leaves me with the 180 for a 150 T___T. Anyway, give 'em hell tomorrow!!

Weather sucks here and my T__T 40 is still waiting for the engine to get back from OS. Should be in by Tuesday. To their credit, they replaced the bearings and didn't even wimper about it!

HAVE A GREAT MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ALL AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
