Ok, 2HI2C hold on to your hat.............I think the Magnum line is a great choice for the T_ _ _T! I had a Magnum .91 4s on one once and found it to be the same as a Saito .82 in power (maybe even more, come to think of it). I think the Magnum line is a real bargain for the money. Man, your dog has to be the reincarnation of Peter Lorre! They're the spittin' image of one another!

f_shawn68............Welcome aboard! I hope to hear of your flying escapades soon!

Dang, Zoe does look like Peter Lorre. I can't figure out if she is sad or that's just her normal expression. The Magnum engines I've been around seem to run fine. I think a .70 four stroke is just about right for the Tt.

f shawn68 Welcome aboard! You'll be doing things you never thought possible in no time flat!!

Adam I admire teachers a great deal. They can only be in it for the love of teaching. It's the damn teachers union and administration and the bloated buracracy (did I spell that right?) that I can't stand!

Waldo that does not look like a ground induced modification to me. It must have pulled off in the air or on the work bench. Please tell it was the former and that there is a video!!!!

Broke down and added 2.5 oz to the nose of the Edge last night. Also stepped down to the 17 x 6 APC. It flew like a different plane! Much much better! No chance of high alpha 3d but pattern is a breeze and flat spins are alright. It's no T___T, thats for sure!!!

C'mon Waldo, don't keep us T___Ting in the wind!!

Baily says I don't fly nuttin but OS

    F shawn68, welcome aboard you'll love the 70 4 stroke on there

    Well fellas
I gave it the ol college try, it did fly better then last week, weee little better, but on my low inverted pass to snap a pic for Plowboy it did one of those waterfalls and sheered off the top wing, no special devices needed to blow the top wing... LOL,, Just kidding, on my landing I kind of pancaked a little and the weight of the 3rd wing broke all 4 struts between the 2nd and 3rd wing, so you are correct in saying I hacked off the top wing Linkadrip, I pulled out my exacto and sliced off the monocote holding the struts on and walaaaa a Bwipe was born, and let me tell you the BWIPE ROCKS!!!!!

TimC the things sticking out the top of the 2nd wing are where the only bolts are holding all 8 struts together I glued the struts into the bottom and top wing, for ease of assembly, well unfortuneately that design has put a stall into the Twipe flights as now I have to rip into the monocote on wing 3 and put the same type design on that wing as I did on number 2.

DownT it is no passing phase my only goal is to take off the Twipe , fly the Twipe, land and taxi back the Twipe, I will not rest until this is achieved. I have to say so far it has not been successful, it flys yes but it does not fly like a plane yet, the nose weight helped a little but still needs more, I'm really thinking the 3 wings might just be too high and fat but I'm not calling it quits yet, it will take me some time to re carve out 4 more plywood struts and 8 strut holders before I can try again. so probably about 1 month from now.

I have to say it is a blast to try and fly it though, very challenging and just on your toes the entire time its up there, I did however do loops and snap rolls with it this time, just to see how it would respond well its all on the videos. 4 of them including the Bwipe flight.

2 videos of each the take offs and the landings.

enjoy and feel free to laugh your butts off , I did.

Shawn welcome welcome. Just remeber that the T_ _ _T is no ordinary plane and please don't try and fly other planes like the T_ _ _T. She is much more forgiving.
Waldo the twipe is coming along and as you can see as a bwipe it flys great and as a twipe it will also, but just like any prototype it's trial and error.

WALDO!!!! Very nice......it looks like that Bwipe is the ticket. Did you add any nose weight? or just lose the third wing? Looked like it flew geat in bipe mode...congrats.

I got my T_ _ _T back together and the motor is running a little better, she died once after leaving the pits and taxing out to the runway where after she traveled 10 ft on the take off run and died. I just started her up and she took off the 2nd time with out a hitch.
I moved the batt back alittle father to the 2nd bay.
I stuff it with foam in the turtle deck and glued some blocking to the fuse and screwed in a crossbar to hold the batt in place. I then covered the bottom of the fuse.
She is some where around the 5 inch mark and she seems really pitch senstive. still I will fly her a few days before I make any changes.
I tore my tailwheel loose on an aborted landing and it came off when I came around again and landed her.
I continued to fly her for several more flights with out the tailwheel.
Damage was very minor and should be an easy fix.
I flew the somthing extra until 9 running my night lights. Boy those leds in the leading edge really work out nice at dusk. You can line her right up on the runway.

Waldo thanks man, that was so friggin' funny!! Looks like the TWIPE is always in a stall! One helluva ride You almost fooled me with the inverted pass thing....NOT!! I like it as a bipe. Maybe you should just hinge some ailerons on the top wing and fly it like that. Put some little carbon fiber push rods between them. Hell, Hangar-9 might produce it and call it the Waldopeppershaker......or something that requires a little more intelligence and creativity. Anyway thanks for the entertainment! It was great even without the photo pass!! I look forward to the next installment of The Twipe Odyssey

Kerwin, that dog on the left looks like the resident bad ass unless I miss my guess. How hard is to fly at night? I would be afraid of losing my perspective. You are a brave man!

Still waiting for my engine back from OS so my T___T is just sitting there looking all dejected. The Edge saga continues. Getting better and better. Can hover some but without enough power to save me if I get into trouble, so it could die soon! Won't stay in the inverted flatspin as well as a T__T and has such a nasty tip stall that harriers are probably beyond my ability, at least for now! At least it doesn't fly like the TWIPE now that I added weight to the nose!

Waldo, think about adding some length to the tail section to improve stability?
