Waldo ___ AWESOME VIDS DUDE!!! The Twipe looked easier to fly , but still twitchy as all get out. The Bwipe looked like someone knew what they were doing when they designed it, it looked solid from the instant it left the ground. Now if you can just get enough weight up front to balance the third wing and make it removable you'll have three awesome airplanes in one. You may have to harrier the Twipe in to ever get it to land with all that lift no matter how it balances.

Thanx for all the encouragement guys it is appreciated!! I might put the Evolution on my Nexstar to try to get the kinks worked out of it, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to get it reliable. I just don't trust it on a plane like the T-t anymore. I looked at the T-t 60 again and it might be easier to fix than I first thought so the next time I'm home I will start on the repairs. If I can just get it straight I'll be doing good...lol...

    Thanks DownT and Buckskin,
The darn thing barely fits between the cheeks! I may be able to spread the mount without moving the blindnuts but I'm not sure yet. DownT, what do you mean by web/gusset? The .46 would hover and flatspin very well. I had the plane DIALED IN! I hope the .61 offers enough signifant difference to warrant the upgrade. I don't wish to sacrifice any flyability for a quarter horse more power.

Plowboy the 61 is going to rock your world into a new dimension, I broke in and flew my T _ _ _ T with the 61 using a 13x6 prop it flew the back striping right off the plane lol, but I think they say use the 13x4. and you see the way it carried the Twipe and bwipe awesome motor for this plane, good luck and just shave the inside edges a little at a time on the stock mounts until she fits in there like the top cap of a zap bottle

Skukreja the 61fx lifted her into the sky with rocket like force, she handled beautifully as a Bipe, maybe it was the lack of ailerons on the top wing that helped in my case, but I really believe she is stabile enough to handle the extra ailerons for more authority. but to me she flew like a T_ _ _ T with an extra wing, it almost didn't even matter that there was another wing on her, but the 3 wings is a whole other story....

Buckskin, yes I'm thinking more weight in the nose for the Twipe for sure might just be the ticket, I think if it wasn't as windy the last time I tried to fly it maybe it would have harriered in just fine that last flight but at the last second she tried to spin on me and I'm afraid I just wasn't quick enough to give it some more throttle and rudder / aileron imput to help ease the touch down. I'll be trying again this summer for sure.

2Hi2C LOL the carpet rocks!!!!!! I can see you sitting on it now with tones of pink floyd ringing in the background. do you have fog and lighting..

Plowboy, If you look at your motor mount You will see 2 triangles. 1 is on the top side and runs 45 degrees from the beam that bolt to the fire wall to the beam the the motor bolts to.
I took a hacksaw blade and cut the webbing on the topside mount. I bolted them on and marked them 1st.
Then I locked mine down on a vice and used a **** file and removed 3/32 off the insides of each mount.
When I had my crash I was really glad that the motor mount broke, better it than the engine.

2Hi, I looked back at that time period and looked at those post an yeah that guy was right the T_ _ _T ani't no ain't no airplane and your right for keeping her locked away like that. It ain't natural for somthing like that to create the heart fluttering that it does an yet leave you beginning for more.
I don't know but it's got some kinda control to keep this thread going.
Maybe some 1 should pm ole Jim and ask him about it.

Had to go for a bit..there were a couple of very healthy deer walking through my property. Thats hard on a Cajun boy like me!! I'm thinkin' BACKSTRAP!

Waldo I see what you mean. I'll have to do some serious whittling tonight on that mount. I hope you're right about the performance, my world could use some rockin'!!

2HI On second thought that carpet is not so bad after all. Especially when seen from Waldo's perspective. A little Dark Side of the Moon and the sound of a bic lighter..What caused those little tiny round burn holes? I seem to recall something that would pop a leave those same little burn holes...now what was it...? Oh well, guess my memory ain't what it used to be. Can't imagine what caused that either.

Thanks KERWIN, I have the mount bolted back on now and I'm trying to figure out just how much material needs to go. How far is the fuel nipple from the firewall on your setup?

I pushed the engine all the way back so there was enough room to squeeze on the fuel tube without having a kink in it, all I did was dremmel the sides of the mounts where the engine needs to sit,, what is all the talk about carving the webs out too, what is that for?? what reason???? am I missing something wait !!! let me turn down the Animals album and open a window.. Now I need to think

Waldo, I had to cut mine to make it sit all the way down. I believe I went a little too far back. (about .125" The line is slightly kinked. Does anyone know if the fuel inlet nipple can be rotated? I sure don't want to have to mount that thing all over again! Now I need to think! Maybe I'll just jam out to Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together At The Mouth Of A Cave Jamming With The.....something. Maybe it'll inspire me!

    Anyone know about the nipple?

Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict[D] its nice to know real Pink floyd fans.. I saw Roger Waters last summer and they put on a show I swear was Pink Floyd on stage. I've seen Floyd a few times and Waters and Gilmore seperate a couple times, it was okay, but this show was Floyd all the way. extremely impressive. note for note 3 1/2 hours took a 20 minute break in the middle and came back with the entire Dark side of the moon show, to the letter, and the effects were incredible, and I was as straight as an arrow.

Maybe you could drill a hole in the firewall where the nipple is and send the the fuel line through the back of the firewall directly to the nipple (no kink required) I did that on my Mustang because the motor needed to be so far back as it was the notorious 61Fx on a 40 sized aircraft.

Whoa Waldo! Takes one to know one!! I saw Floyd minus Waters (unfortunatly) at a stadium in Houston, Tx. during the most awsome storm. I swear it rolled in right on que. The backup singer chicks got drenched when the awning they were under finally filled up with water and caved in. They just kept singing. There was lightning and thunder everywhere and Gilmore was stage center just jamming his ass off. Equipment was shorting out but the roadies were flying around fixing things because the band refused to quit until finally the whole place lost power. They were at the end of the set anyway by that time but not quite finished with the show. It was amazing! I was always a fan but let me tell you I had a new found respect for Gilmore and crew after that! Thank goodness for the old hippies on the row behind us. They had sense enough to bring some visqueen and were kind enough to share. We made holes for our heads and every now and then you'd stick your head underneath for a break and thats where the party was! These folks looked like Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead and they were making the best of the situation!! What a great concert!!

The kink is not too bad so I'll try to run it. If that doesn't work I had already considered cutting an oblong hole in the firewall just big enough for the line to bend. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Kerwin, Waldo, DownT and the rest. It will fly this weekend and we will see what all the fuss is about!!
