Just wanted to give you guys an update.
The plug was fine, the non starting problem was like you guys said "engine flooded".
Anyways, had 4 flight, very windy day, and on the last landing session for some reason the fuselage cracked right behind the wing.
So i'm on the repair process, not to bad though.

Thew damage doesn't look too bad
Waldo I may just have to make me a bwipe somday
Well I gotta chance to go fly for an hr today, I started out mowing late this morning and it was nice 73 and calm. But as the day progressed the wind started picking up to about 17 out of the south east.
I thought I gotta go fly, so I took the T_ _ _T out. Taxing out to the runway the wind was pushing her around a little. Once she got to the center Of the runway I spun her around straight into the wind and hammered that 61. Lift off was instantous with the nose straight up and going vertical. In a matter of about 1 and 1/2 seconds she was 100 ft or so up and about 200 ft down wind. I then brought the nose down and brought her back to me. Once she got about 50 ft to the south of me and about 50 ft up I attempetd to fly her backwards down the runway.
I wasn't able to do that very well in level flight BUT if I nosed her up at about 70 degrees or so she would cook going backwards.
After playing with her like that for a few minutes I started working on low approaches, I wanted to be sure I could land her in 1 piece.
I done a session of harrier landings with very little forward motion.
I got another flight in after that flight but decided to pack it up as I seen a little tailfeather flex and I want to examine that. I also want to move the cg back to 4 3/4 right now I'm just a tad over 5 and she seems a little pitch senstive

Kerwin, that sounds cool! How do you fly backwards?

Yak arrived today. Might have to ship it back though. They left out the carbor fiber upgrades. Maybe we can arrive at some compromise. They sound like reasonable people. We'll see!

15-20 mph headwind...a touch of up elevator....and BAM, yer flyin backwards...

I can fly my Senior Tele backwards in a 10mph wind.

The boys and I crank the wind up on Realflight to 20-25 and you can practice a lot of flying and aerobatics (and backwards) 3 feet off the ground, about 10 feet out from ya, and the plane never goes anywhere...

Kerwin, can I do that on the G4? I guess I'll have to experiment with that thing at some point. All I use it for is to play with my kid. She likes the lawn bowling and she likes to roll downhill as far as possible and then fly out of the valleys. If the engine dies then you have to crash into a tree. Thats just 'how she rolls'!! lol

Waldo, what is that for exactly? Hot wheels? LOL

    plowboy1966, page up/down is increase/decrease wind amount. Home/end are wind direction up/down.

Left work early yesterday to go flying. This morning I decided to take the rest of the week off and fly some more!! Now my face is all sunburnt from spending the whole day flying the T@#$T I plan to do it the next three days as well. I hope you boys are gettin' some flyin' in too! I know there has been some bad weather around the country and I hope none of you were terribly affected. The OS 61FX is run in real good now. It is always an easy starter too. Usually the first flip. I saw a Precision Aerobatics profile plane at the field today. I don't think it can hang with our little yeller friend! What a fun little plane we all have!!

Well gotta get to bed. I have a long day of flying ahead of me tomorrow. Have a good day at work all.

Kerwin all one needs to be always T_ _ _ Ting is a bottle of Zap and some epoxy, I find myself never being T_ _ _ Tless and I only own 1, I beat the living death out of the first one for about 2 -3 years, so I bought another and am on my way to destroying this one. I just can't help myself, just when you get into that comfortable mode of flying and everything is going great the subconscience takes over and says what else can it do !!! and hence, outside the envelope begins again. This one already had a complete over haul because the 2nd week I had it my good cuz and I had a mid air which totaled both our planes, as a matter of fact we were back in the sky this morning with those same very 2 planes, we even hit wings again lol we'll never learn. they were both flying just like they came out of the box though, gotta love glue.

Today I got out there and there was no wind and becoming quite humid, but I got in at least 6 flights with the T_ _ _ T and another 5 in with the new mustang, AWESOME Day of flying, on my last flight with the T _ _ _ T I was doing a harrier about 1 foot off the deck and then out of no where she decided to snap roll left, I was pretty much harriering with my hands off so I quickly had to grab the sticks and floor it and gave it hard right and she leveled out just in time to touch the wheels and roll at high speed into the high grass which put a few holes in the monocote and I think I must have hit the wing tip as it is buckled a little and the covering is all wrinkled and loose on the right tip underneath now. but all in all it was a great day. some minor surgery will be required this week but nothing unrepairable by any means. I'm thinking cut the covering back and drop some zap in there on the cracks and stick the cote back on, probably about a 10 minute repair.

It was great to fly the T_ _ _ T as the T_ _ _ T again seeing its now been 5 weeks since I flew it with 1 wing LOL,, wow I missed that plane.

Well its off to a family gathering for a surprize B-day for my Uncles 70th so cold refreshments is in store for the rest of the day.

Happy Fathers day to all you Dads, Have a great weekend.

Well, tomorrow will be the test. I contacted magnum reguarding my issues with my engine and apparently they had a batch of engines that had the wrong valve springs in them. They said they would send me a new pair. 2 days later, a package appears in the mail box with my springs......and new valves as well. Cant beat a whole new valve assembly. I just installed them and I can already feel a difference in the compression. Before it was belching back through the carb. Tomorrow I will fire her up and see if I can finally get some good vertical and hang time.
Happy fathers day to all you dads and to those who are going to fly, happy T___ting.

Plowboy, does your wife have a sister? Sounds like you have yourself a good woman there. Glad to hear you had a great fathers day.
The engine ran a little better. It would hang on the prop, but only at full throttle and it wouldnt hold for more than about 20 seconds without nosing over, so today at t
