Grass acts as a "Natural" brake when landing. Pavement just keeps on going and going anf going....Like the "Energizer Bunny".

Yes it is AMA chartered but they have already tried to help and so far nothing. I dont go to the club meetings so i dont know to much. We still have the field but not for long. The reason I like grass better is because it acts like brakes and its easier to land and takeoff.

Tony, Make sure you do all the checks needed. Install your crystal hook everything up and ensure everything works well. If you have any problems let us Know and we will help out the best we can. I am no expert on the electronics of model Aircraft but i am sure there are a few here that can help out.

Sorry for the delay Tony but finally, here is the UPS tracking number: 1Z6002200328330032 you can go to the UPS web-site to track it.

Wow, what a ride. Just to help out the other people in the good guys club. Don't click the little box which says "Do you want to send this as a Gift Order?"
"Holy garbled data Batman."

I thought it was strange when my order, no matter how hard I tried, kept generating a customer number for Tony. I thought "O.K. perhaps he has an account and the system simply recognized his name and address." I went ahead and confirmed the order on the 31st.

3D, you are lucky guy, did you get everything you needed to finish this up? Do us a favor though and don't pull into a hover over the runway, move out across the runway to do that sort of thing, we expect this one to last longer....

No Problem Bud........That motor looks like it could use a good cleaning, but trust me.....she's powerhouse! I removed the baffle in the muffler, which gives you about 600 more RPM.

In fact, I won 2 Fun-fly competitions with that motor, so it's a proven champion!

Keep the pictures coming.......all of America is watching this story unfold.

Good Luck Tony

That is AMPS, another club I belong to but I mostly fly at markham park. The reason I put a link to that club is because I was there at the right time when the "newsletter editors" were there and were "fascinated" at the way I hover my plane on the deck....... . both clubs are the same distance and sometime i fly there and sometimes I fly at markham.

edit: I never knew there was a canal behind AMPS

i live for 3D,

I know how you feel. I got a H9 Extra 330S for my birthday, but all that was missing was the engine and the reciever. My dad got it for a bargain. I bought a used ZDZ 80 from a guy for $300, and we eventually got my Extra in the air. About a year ago, I was hovering it about 100 ft. high, and I came out at about a 45 degree angle. I lost the radio signal and I had absolutely no control over the plane and I watched it go in, holding the stick back, praying that it would pull out of its death. It didn't and I cried. I was only 14, and that was my first crash where I totaled a plane. I felt like just quitting the hobby. But MAN, this hobby is addicting! I now fly a Lanier 30% Edge 540 and it flys great!!! I still miss my Extra. Anyway, good luck and I hope you get back in the air soon.
