Thinking about the cen CT5 ford GT, car is hot looking. I have not had good luck with CEN fun factor. I'm a little gun shy with buying cen. A little input would be great, they claim 75 MPH is this true?

i have one with the porche 911 body. it comes with and extra belt and gears for the drive train. when you install both gears and the new belt. you ll see the 73MPH speeds, the gears and belts installed on the CT5 is a Track setup. this will get you between 65 and 68 mph or there abouts.

my CT5s been nothing less than a pleasure to deal with. imo, thats saying alot about ANY nitro motor. i love mine, and when i get a few extra bux, im gonna get anohter one. new ofcourse.

mine is great. I think it handles well, and it is fast. The motor is the easiest to start and the smoothest running out of any car I ever had. For the price, it is a great buy. I had a nitro 4 tec and the ct5 is was better ofa car in my opinion. I never owned a expensive "race" car, but I like it.

Is there any down side to the CEN CT5? Not a lot of input so far so I'm thinking It's a good buy. At 70+ MPH what kind of range does it get, and does it shut down when out of range? My rc boat went out of range and was on the other side of lake in no time, good thing it landed on the beach and stalled out .

there s some down sides like wiht any rc. parts are in SOME LHS' but typically need to be ordered on line. i think for the price its an excellent buy. the stock elects are the best but they are decent. my original radio system had an issue, but the warenteed one they sent has been great. though i dont use it in my CT5, i use the JR XS3 Pro for it, the CEN Skion controller is used in the TT01 i have. i get about 400 ft without too much issue. plenty for where its Tpically used at. tough with my JR iv done 1000 ft no issues.

excellent car thats VERY competative on and off the track imo.

my radio works great. It has quite a few features for a stock radio. My ct5 has been great since the day I got it. I don't know if it goes 74mph, the tall gearing the give to you, I have installed now. My stock motor has a hard time pulling it. I can adjust the shift point to shift into 2nd later, and i think it might be better, but I am yet to try. But I would recommend it to anyone. I know parts seem to be ordered, but if yours works out like mine, you'll never have a problem, I never need parts for mine.

You are going to have mixed reviews, mainly most of negative feedback. If you have great part support (via LHS...not ordering) then sure this'd be a great car to get. Otherwise, I'd look in the other direction to other brands especially if you plan to do some competative racing. The car indeed tops 70mph+ though requires space to obtain such a speed. Remmeber this is just top speed. It has nothing to do with acceleration, which wows the crowd more than top speed since most people seem to think acceleration is the same as speed.

nope, mine accelorates very well. maybe not like a novarossi 400 3 port or 5 port .21 motor, but plenty for me and the racing i do with it. atleast for now.

Thanks guys, so a little over a 100 yards is good. I'm sure it can get there fast. When out of range does it hold last input?
