Oh right, so all the other parts thats on the savage X will work by just using the brass bush, sorry for taking soo long for the penny to drop.

Are these parts that I was going to order, better than the ones on the savage X, or do they work the same??

if u buy the rest the its still no good cos the bit you put your spur on is still 2 small so u put the brass bit in side ur spur to get it to fit the tihghten up as norm

So don't they do a robinsons spur gear to fit the savage X without that little bit??
So why does the HPI site say I need these 2 parts to make it fit the savage X???

I don't know if they are, I just searched for washers!!
They are a different size as to what you mentioned earlier

On my 4.6, the brass washer is not used.

The assembly order onto the shaft:

drive pin Z260
slipper clutch hub 86130
slipper plate 72130
slipper clutch pad 72131
spur gear 86806
hex washer 87042b
spring 87042a
lock nut Z684
