I have broke 2 tail rotor blades, the last 2 times that I flew it. Never broke any of them before. Hope this does not become the norm @ over $7 each.

Try the Blade CP tail rotor. I have one on my Axe now; it's pretty much the exact same thing for only $3.

I heard the CP blades work and they are cheaper. How did you break the tail blades what were you doing? landing or hit something?

Well I finally got my parts and put it back together. I also got G-3.5, and will be flying that for a while before trying the real thing again. Parts are alot cheaper on the simulator. HaHa

I just ordered one and it won't be here until next week. From what I have heard, it is a good idea to upgrade the battery. What Lipo brands to you all use, what chargers do you have, and what balancers. What do you think the highest mAh rating would fit in the airframe?

I bought the Thunder tiger 11.1 v 1320Mah fits fine on it's side I added a peice of foam to the bottom of the chopper and it slides right in perfect. My charger is the duramax ICE and I don't have a balancer yet. working on that. LHS said I should be fine for a month or so without it. But when I get 4lipos batteries. I should get one because thats over $200.00 in batteries and it will make them last longer. But for now I am fine they say. cost me 57.11 with the connector for the axe and my battery that included tax I had a $5.00 coupon they let me use.

It is way worth it cause you only get about 5 minutes with the one it comes with. By the time you feel comfortable it is out of juice. My lipo is giving me about 2 10 minute flight and I quit about 9.7 and recharge after about 20 minutes to let it cool to room temp.

well it's good to be back from vacation. All i had as far as RC in concerned while i was gone was my real flight G3.5. So I decided to take the axe for her first flight outdoors. Glad i did. i put two stock batteries through it. during the second battery a gust blew the heli back and i broke both blade grips....grrrrr. but alas, i had some forward thinking and i ordered some before the parts crisis. threw the new ones on and went back to the fun. all in all a good day. just wish i didn't have to deal with th 5-10 mph winds. here's a vid.

What tail rotor blades did you get? Axe cp or Blade CP? I hear the blade CP blades work just fine.

Thanks, about the hovering practice practice. I use the duramax ICE I don't have a balancer yet. But My buddy that has a bunch of them (he works at the hobby shop) says I won't need a balancer for a month. But when I have 4 Lipos I should get one to make things last longer. I WILL HAVE ONE BY MY NEXT PAYCHECK!

As far as hovering watch for the smallest movement and try to counter it before it happens...
Get the heli about 3 feet off the ground too. I stops the ground effects. Some cool guy's from the forum told me that and it helped allot. The heli doesn't move as much. I am getting two 9-10 minute flights off each charge. That also helps because you gettime to get more comfortable before you have to wait an hour to fly again commpared to 5 minutes withthe battery that comes with the Axe.

I ordered the axe cp rotors. Then I read the blade cp ones work aswell and there 3 bucks... so next time I might try those.

Ya I have 2 stock batteries and man the die quick and I"m not even really flying it much. I'm still floatin around on the ground for the most part.

How much would you say a balence, lipo, and good charger cost? also what part number lipo did you buy from TP? they got a crap load of batts on there site.

For some reason that was jerky on my computer, but fun to see it outside. It looks so small. Watch out for that giant crack! It almost swallowed your heli.

Just posted a vid of the old AXE. It is several short clips of some table hopping, hovering and a little flinging it around. Also a little accident but no damage.

Would not buffer for me. Bummer, I wanted to check it out. Other videos have been working in fact I tried to a couple after trying yours and they worked. Maybe you can upload it again.

Like to see those table hops
