Hey, you're doing great. Impressed with the landing on the table. Now, you have to start to learn side-in orientation and finally nose-in. Once you've got those made, its anything goes.

Not a very big place to practice in.

Have you practiced on a Sim or is it all actual flying?

The Box on the ground is not radds school I was just using it as a point of ref. I found out about radds school after I had achieved a hover although I pretty much did the same thing on my own. Yeah it is kinda a small area to practice but I found it has forced me to have more control over the heli not because of a box or chalk circle but the wall is def a stopping force. I did spend some time with FMS and the RMAXb model to learn orientation and just generally train my fingers to do the right thing. All I had for an input device was a 360controler. I spent some time on the sim while I was waiting for the blade grips and a couple of other parts. Current mods are CNC blade grips 3 HS-55 servos and the 910mah 15c Lipo.

the area you practice in is a lil bigger then mine, but ya it does force you to try and control it better.

What is this Radd's box? I am experienced at planes, but still totally new to helis. I have been using G3.5 and a bit of parts when trying my real AXE. May be some different type of training will help. I can hover the real thing tail in, but not very good yet.

Just keep practicing. You will get it just wacth the heli for any movment and try and correct before it happens. Don't try and advance to quickly. Take your time and relax.

Good Luck

When I don't fly for awhile I pretty much fly terrible until I get use to flying again.
Also when I use someone else's heli I cannot seem to fly to well either.

Flying in different places/areas seems to take me awhile to adjust as well.

It gets frustrating...

Hey Ms. Darla,

Did you get your Axe back yet or heard anything from Heli-max about it? I was hovering mine the other day and luckly I was only about 9 inches up and the motor quit. she drop like a rock (no Damage though) Turned out the wire that connects the motor came loose. I fixed it and it flys great. but what if I was up there and that happened.

Thinking about getting a Gasser for Aerial Photography, either a Bergen EB or a whirybird.

The company has sent me 2 postcards explaining the delay in parts.
My guess 2-3 weeks it might be here.

When I sent them the heli I included a letter explaining a few issues from this forum which they did respond.

I seen one of these last night in a axe cp allowing very good flight time of 15 minutes which is amazing for a $25 battery.

Video Of Axe CP using one of these:
